They can't stop picking on Amy, which says more about their lives than Amy's.

I set next to them at a concert at Murphy Center, myself and others around them were shoked at the hateful comments and utter rudeness he displayed during the whole evening. She was embarrassed and apollized on his behalf. He was a JERK and jealous of her career... Continued good luck and Happiness to Amy and Vince ...
I agree. I worked with Amy during that time, and it was obvious that Gary was resentful of her. He belittled her frequently in public. It seemed to me that he valued his "stuff" (his helicopter, farm, etc) more than he valued her. I know that she hung in there for a long time but that kind of emotional abuse wears away at a marriage. I don't begrudge her one bit for divorcing him. They seem much happier in their current marriages.

Sounds like that is what most people are saying about him. You can not be in a relationship with an addict and not be emotionally abused by that person. I could not be happier for her for finding true love and happiness.

Yes, I listen to her music....I will admit it does not affect me like it used to in my early church going days. I am not a fan of
divorce, and not at all regarding the excuses used by Amy for her divorce. I like her music, but she does't get to me like she did when she was in the gospel christian music category. so sad.

Stop pointing fingers and names calling. Who made you the judge. Jesus said: "Let those without sin, cast the first stone". Amy and Gary item is long past. They both have had moved on, have their own families. Leave them alone!!!
If you really take a good look at the story of the woman caught in adultery, a lesson was being taught. JESUS knew their thoughts, he knew why they brought the woman to him. He was also, trying to put an end to stoning adulterers. JESUS came to bring peace.
You cannot apply judge not and do not cast the first stone to every situation. And, if that be so, then so much of those who got caught in sin and were punished was wrong! The story of the two people who kept back part of the land they sold and they lied about it, were confronted by Peter and both fell down dead at his feet. This is a case in point, I may think this was very harsh punishment, but Peter was GOD's disciple. You can use the word of GOD for rebuke and correction, don't forget that!

No!! You are wrong Ms. underdog4amy, not everyone thinks that, there you go automatically assuming again. And now, it is so
obvious that you cheer Amy for divorcing Gary, once again, it proves that you think it is ok, and by that I mean adultery.
yes, you are so happy that Amy broke GOD's commandment, as long as she is happy. You are a sad individual, really! An underdog, and really just a plain old gopher for Amy, without any care of what is written in the Bible about divorce. You should stand up for GOD and His principals and not man, no man is worth losing GOD over!

I got the cd somewhere down the road, about a year after it was on the sale rack. I was not too thrilled about it. Not too many new songs to pierce my ears or get a hold of me inside. Her music does not move me like it used to. She had her platform in the the gospel arena, but traded it for fame, a star on the hollywoood walk of it!
It doesn't take a real pro to understand what went wrong with her music. It is a sad thing.
I like some of the songs on the cd, but that is about it, sorry Amy, you sold the truth for a lie.
I miss what your music did for me and for many others who listened to it all the time. yeah, I know that was 20 years ago!

Even if it means committing adultery??????
Even if it means forgetting about GOD's commandments?????
This is the world's way of finding so called "true love & happiness", they commit adultery, and all kinds of acts of sin.
THEY FORGET GOD PERIOD!!!!! Sad, this is what Amy did, if truth be known. You just go on being happy that Amy found true love and happiness; she committed adultery for one to find it, and yes she forgot about GOD's commandments like you. It is so sad!

Is that what you call it "picking on Amy", awe poor you, and poor Amy. This is a comment forum about Amy, of course she is going to
be the focus point. If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen, like they say!!!!

I traded AG in for Sheryl Crow when the Tuesday Night Club came out in the 1990's. Then I left Sheryl when she went country and moved to Nashville. Now, I check out some of her songs like "Sideways"...with Doyle Bramhall II mostly because I like Doyle, not her so much anymore.

It's not a judgment on her private life. It's what moves me or doesn't. I think V-Neck has effed up everything of hers he has ever put his guitar twangs and vocals on. They just don't blend well together. She does better with Michael W. Smith, more her speed and he knows all her songs. He can cover up when she forgets lyrics or botches when she is supposed to come in. He just keeps smiling and playing her keyboards.
