Hypocritical, cheating sl*t. She justified a horrible divorce for a soul mate and pretends to continue her facade. Shame on her.

And I always thought I was the only person who felt this way about her! Thank you for speaking "our" minds!

Just because someone doesn't share your opinion doesn't make them a "sad human being."

How is releasing 'Somewhere Down The Road' an act of hypocrisy? The initial post on this thread lacks context. How does this relate to the topic?

I am curious to know whether 'horrible divorce' is meant to imply that her divorce was more horrible than most. And how can marrying ones 'soul mate' be considered a bad thing? Or is there more sneering sarcasm in the post than it seems at first?

I doubt pamelab79 really feels the same, since she is content to speak her mind without sarcasm and innuendo.

Stephen...I understand what you are saying. The first post was not a comment directly related to the album being released but more of an opinion regarding the character of the "artist." The "horrible divorce" comment I believe was directed toward the suspected (although never admitted) infidelity on her part as well as Vince Gill. It was kept quite hush-hush while I was working at Starwood Amphitheatre that Amy Grant was present backstage at Gill's concert even though she was not to perform. This dates back to when Grant was married to Gary Chapman and Gill was married to Janice. It's simply an observation on some people's parts that she is not all she is described to be. As you stated about me I certainly don't want to make any comments regarding this topic using sarcasm as I don't think it's needed. I just simply wanted to state how I felt about her in general. Thanks!

No, what makes them sad is calling someone they don't know a s#ut. Amy and Vince have never denied that they were good friends during their prior marriages, that does not mean they had an affair or that she is a s#ut.

Oddly enough you're doing the very same thing by calling someone you don't know "a sad human being."

"a sad human being" is a far cry from a 'sl%t'. Pretending to know intimate details about someone's life, someone you don't know?? I don't believe I've pretended to know any intimate details about your life.

Pretending...I beg to differ. You have no idea what you're talking about now. I worked at Starwood for years and saw all the backstage action. AND I have family that works at the Opry and has done so for 20 years now. Of course, to you that means nothing does it? Give it up...

Well, if you worked at Starwood and the Opry, then clearly, you saw them having sex while still married to their exes. Yep, nothing like an eyewitness account to some good ole backstage 'action' I'm sorry, I had no idea.....

Hmm, wonder why you didn't sell photos along with your 'eyewitness' account to the tabloids?? That would have been worth millions.

It's called sarcasm. Just because Amy was there when Vince was performing does not prove they were having an affair. Is it suspicious? Well, maybe it would be more so if they weren't so open about their friendship. The point being, you are have publically attacked someones reputation and called her a vile name without proof of anything other than her being there. And calling her that word??? Even if she did have the affair, one affair does not a s&*t make; imo.

Your last "word" (imo) says it all. It captures the essence of boards like this. Everyone is entitled to have an opinion and I stated mine or in the beginning simply agreed with someone else's.

BTW - sarcasm cannot be conveyed successfully online

Perhaps, but if you look up the defintion of that word, it states the woman is 'promiscuous', if you look up the defintion of promiscuous; it means 'having MANY indiscriminate or casual sexual relationships.'

So, as I said, one affair does not a 's^%$t' make; imo and anyone who understands the meaning of the word.

No, if you'd called her a 'homewrecker'....well that I could live with. Disagree with, but live with.

If you had ever been in the company of her and her ex, and seen what a complete a** he was to her; in public no less and with their children present, you would applaud her for turning to someone who is a nice decent man. I set next to them at a concert at Murphy Center, myself and others around them were shoked at the hateful comments and utter rudeness he displayed during the whole evening. She was embarrassed and apollized on his behalf. He was a JERK and jealous of her career... Continued good luck and Happiness to Amy and Vince ...
