My friends and I were driving down Scientific when we saw the flash from the car hitting the power lines, and were the second ones on the scene.

Your story islightly inaccurate. The picture you have is not of the accident vehicle. This truck belongs, I assume, to the property owner. To the left of the truck is the car that the men were driving and it was driven up into the tree before it stopped.

When we first arrived, the man in the back seat (passenger's side) had his arm hanging out the window and was screaming that he couldn't move. A police officer showed up at that point and I want to praise him for his quick thinking. My friends and I wanted to help but, the officer, being alert, told us to stay back as their were power lines everywhere.

EMS and the Fire Dept arrived quickly and went right to work on the car, I assume with the "jaws of life". I really only expected the one man to survive, as he was the only one talking. When they pulled the front passenger out, I thought for sure he had passed but, my roommate soon pointed out that he could see the victim breathing. Then, he moved his legs and I couldn't help but start clapping.

By this time, a crowd had emerged and, as they were getting ready to extract the driver, they asked everyone to move further back. I assumed it was because the driver was not showing signs of life.

My heart goes out to Quan's family. We were praying for a miracle.

I know that young people will party but we must try to teach these ladsa that speed kills. They don't have any training or have any experience with speed and until they do so on the race track do not speed. The man that was killed in all probability did not have a safety belt secured. Some kids will never get the idea of defensive driving and this chap never will. I hate this unnecessary death for his family and friends.

If this person was truly a witness and is only giving their take on the events why are the people rating this comment like they are making the ish up? If you saw it you saw it, can't take back what your eyes have seen. AND if you wasn't there then you wasn't there. Anyway I read the comment and it seems like you could have given the families and friends of the victims some more insight to this tragedy.

It hurts to loose another family member. He was so young and now his son has to live without a father.

These boys were not bad boys at all. They were all great guys with great hearts. So many people they have crossed through out there lives is praying for their safety and their health. They'll never know the love and support that people have for them. There are so many students in the past few years that have attended schools around here (in my eyes southwest mainly) that have past and do not deserve it. We are all gods children that have made mistakes and these boys do not deserve to pay any price. We love you boys all and so many of us are praying for you!!

First of all let me tell the idiot who posted the comment about Quan being a moron. Yes he was drinking and having a good time but just I taught my son if you drink you will have a designated driver which they all did. As far as the driver I don't know why he ran off the road thats for law enforcement to figure out. But I thinks its pretty cruel of you to post a comment like that about something you don't know nothing about but if you would have read the one before yours you would have seen he wasn't the driver so who the "moron"

Why is it 8:49am and the electricity is stated to be out until 11am. Accuracy=credibility. My heart goes out to the young man who lost his life this morning.
