Dozens join Big Sweep to clean up area
Dozens of local volunteers donned orange vests Saturday morning, armed themselves with "litter grabbers" and stormed Battle Park and other areas as part of the statewide effort to battle pollution and promote environmentalism.

battle park has been lost long ago .not a safe place to take anyone rocky mount is the city on the fall.city counil did nothing when there was a chance to save this great part now its to late let the ones that control the park clean it.you would be better spending your time with your famly out of this city .stay safe stay away.think this proble gets worst dont wast your time look there no familys go thee becaus they love their familysclean the park up with law enforcement first the in the next10 yrs.take alook then.God Bless rocky mount .pray for this city to be safe again vote new laws like curfur clen up the mall so u can shop there instead of going to anther city.think ry.mt.was a nice city but crime has taken it over. Remember locals. I do.
