Then do it. The police would probably prefer to carry off dead looters than bother with arresting them.

it's sad that some people will rip others off but as sad as it is it's only going to get worst.
with the price of everything going up
some will steal just to get by there will come a time when no one will be safe anymore I never thought I would live to see the day when one can't trust anyone this is what has happened to america thanks to those on wall street and in the whitehouse who's greed is bringing the country down it's sad that this is what we all have to look forward to.

Tim, no point in getting yourself arrested. If you want to help, dig in and help people. Although your intentions are noble, I am sure the police and judge would give you more time in jail than the actual looters. Remember : No good deed goes unpunished.
As for the looters... get a life, your OWN, not someone elses!!!
Homeowners/flood victims... I agree with Drift... uckshot, rock salt... whatever gets their attention without getting you in jail. I know that is what we have waiting for anyone who comes to our place with bad intentions, but I live in the country. City folks will probably be charged with discharging a fire arms within city limits. Is it worth the fine? To me it is, but I dont have a whole lot left to loose, cant get blood out of a turnip,as the ole saying goes. Come get you some looters... I am a fast re-loader with a double barreled shot gun.

I grew up in Columbus and this is definitely NOT the same town I grew up in. There is no way this would have happened there 25-30 years ago. As for Buckshot, that is the best idea yet.

If they would take these people put them in a cell and throw away the key, this sort of thing would stop. Instead all they get is a slap on the hand.

LOL Criminals should fear the public not prey on it.

Side note where is the list of those arrested for looting?

This will only get worse as our elected officials continue to ruin our economy. All crime will go up the more people they make poor due to their failed poloicies. They are trying hard to take guns away so you can't deffend youself. Good luck!

these people need to be paraded down mainstreet so everyone can see what a real loser looks like and know who they are in the their community.

that is about as low as you can stoop there.

then they need to be turned loose and let us all beat the living hell out of them.

Where have all of you been all of your lives? You all act like it is just an absolute shock that looters are taking advantage of this tragedy. In actuality, throughout time, looting has followed every disaster, earthquakes, floods, blackouts, war. This isn't something new.
