What is wrong with the lunches? I have not heard anything. Please fill me in.

Okawville High School has had many complaints about the luches this year. Im a student there and i just wanted to know poeples take on what they think should be done about the awful lunches!!

well carol...we have smaller amounts of food than we did last year and sometimes we get our food either overcooked or undercooked...they run out a lot and some people have to go without eating even though they already paid for it. Speaking of pay...its $2 a tray and all you basically get is the main course wich is small and if your lucky, you get small side dishes(if they're not out). Its all because we have a new company giving the school food this year and they are more worried about obiesity that letting us have a good meal!!--It sucks!!

Maybe ask someone, why the state government can tell us what we can eat or not eat. Isn't that like old Russian government? WHAT NEXT? WE ALL WEAR UNIFORMS AND MARCH TO SCHOOL...

I have 3 kids in Nashville High school and I have had numerous complaints when they have second lunch period about not enough food to go around. I have heard from other mothers that Okawville is having the same problems. JUST EAT IT!!! I don't think so!!! Food should not be an issue for a high school student. Prom, YES! Test, of course! Class schedules, HELL YA!!! But wondering if they are gonna get lunch. COME ON!! Shouldn't we at least be able to provide a decent meal for those who are willing to stay in school and get a degree?!?! There really are kids out there that depend on that hot meal. Trust me, I know. Been there, done that. Katlin, fight for what you beleive in and you will go far

i think that the school should go back to the lunches that we had last year. it was much better than what we have this year. it is nasty

Complain to the state board, they are the ones who tell the food service people what can be served and how much. It is all about calories, sodium, sugars and all the other healthy things. Never mind that the kids hate it!!! Schools have to serve healthy foods and then everyone goes to Pizza Hut or Mc Donalds!!!!

i attended nashville high school and while it has been about five years since i have been there i did not realise how things have gotten. i know okawville doesn't but does nashville no longer offer off campus lunch to the upperclassmen? i think that the issue of not enough food needs to be brought up to the school board and if they refuse to do anything then the parents should work together to "strike", if you will, and refuse to pay for lunch that their child is not getting to eat.
