Are you out of your frickin mind! They were terrible last year (10-27) and their talent level has dropped of considerbly this year from the last. All levels look very poor for the next four years!

I have to agree with you. There were good players last year and they were finally able to win a playoff game because there were some hungry seniors that really wanted it. Now that those boys are gone, I don't know who wants it bad enough to step up. They may improve some on the record, but I doubt they will win come playoff time.

The freshmen they brought up is a hell of a baseball player...he definetly has all the tools and skill sets...will he make his errors of course. But I like the move and playing him up is going to only help him...there are a couple of other freshmen who can see their way up ..I n
Know of another good middle infielder and a pitcher that has a cannon of an arm...there also a transfer from plainfield on soph. Squad that can help the team in imediate future..so good thing to see.

OK Mom, enough bragging already. The freshman is a decent ball player. Remember, this is Romeoville and talent is way over inflated. Good for Romeoville means poor to average in other communitites. Playing him up may garner him experience or it may truly determine his playing abillity which isn't always what it appears to be. The kid has an arm but nothing else on him has been developed (send a quick thank you note to the Rattler coaches for that). As for other freshman who could see their way up...not seeing that based on the roster they currently have. As for the middle infielder...not seeing that either. As for the plainfield transfer, big kid but upside just isn't their.

Hey truth, you arrogant crap talker. know what the hell your talking about. the kid didn't hasn't played for Rattlers for 2 years. you have no idea what he does with the bat and or his fielding ability or even the amount of work he put in over the last fall in order to be given the opportunity. if you had any idea how much practice time and training he put in then maybe you'd be able to open your filthy have nothing to do but bash teenagers because you have nothing better to do mouth. nor did you know who posted what you commented on because his mom wouldn't be caught waiting her time with this petty crap. if you saw the kid play you'd see her sitting on the bleachers quite as sin reading a book, but of course you wouldn't know that because you had no idea where the kid even played or that the mom does nothing but mind her own business. shutup, let the kid develop and stop talking crap about something you don't even know.

What is it about youth baseball that makes people so insanely angry??? It really brings out the nut in people. It's youth baseball people. Nothing else..... RELAX! Chances are, with the current economy and our location "Junior" won't be getting that scholarship you've been banking on since t-ball. Also, take a look at MLB--most players are NOT from the U.S. anyway. Sorry you sucked in high school and didn't make it to the big leagues, but leave your kid and other people's kids alone. Let the kids play ball and please keep your lost dreams to yourself and your mouth shut!

here is one for u maybe if coach haskins worried more about his team and less about ripping on the vito and lukancik programs.oh and stayed at the highchool instead of nosing his way at the elementary level gym classes. the hs team might get somewhere.he gloats how good his past teams have done before romeoville how about be quiet and work with the kids he has.he is no better than any other coach.his currents records show it!!

I've never heard Haskins say anything bad about the middle school programs, nor talk much about his past teams. I HAVE seen him work with Romeoville's youth programs and be involved with building a foundation for future RHS teams. So why try to start something that isn't there? Sounds like a case of hater syndrom

So what your saying is if its your kids desire to do something, you should shoot down their dreams and lead them another way. What if it is what they want? Don't support them? Makes sense to me

I've seen him coach he teaches the kids the right way to play an teaches them life lessons you don't know coach Haskins like you think you do I've spoken with him before and he knows the game better than most and he teaches it extremely well i don't know why you're bashing him or players because he knows what he's doing with himself and HIS players

for one I'm not the kids mom...for 2 if you think all he has is an arm your an idiot and you don't know what a skill set is! He has great footwork and his other fundementals are there. This kid has put a TON of offseason work in to perfect his game..and he shouldn't be bashed for work his tail off..

I was right on last year standings for the SWPC. This year 1. Plfd North 2. Plfd South 3. Minooka 4. Plfd East 5. Oswego East 6. Romeoville 7. Oswego 8. Plfd Central
Romeoville can be as high as 5 or as low as 8.
