I am happy to here the puppy has been returned.
The case should now be dropped.
I am sure the mother of this boy has punished him.
She returned the puppy, she did the right thing.

Over a grand for a dog? There are so many PUREBREDS out there in shelters just waiting for homes. I guarantee that the dog that was stolen was from a puppymill. Do Shame, I'm sorry to hear about your dog, but I'm sure he is the product of in-breeding from a puppymill. But, I glad you love him so much! People should support shelters--NO MORE PET STORES!

ADOPT! ADOPT! ADOPT! If your ready for a dog you will NOT regret a shelter dog. I've had 4 in the last 20 years, 3 are still with us. The best pets ever.

I'm waiting until I can find a dog that costs $40,000. I mean, who wants a cheap dog? That's just silly to go around with a dog that only costs $500 or $1000. Embarassing to say the least. And how about these losers who get these mongrels from the pound. Are they eating them or something?

Petland sells puppy mill dogs, the dog will get sick and die. Not a happy ending.

What is crazy is how Petland is able to charge $1500 for a pet because it has 'papers'. All that means is that the parents are certified purebred. AKC does not monitor the breeding habits of the breeders. The puppy mill dogs are bred constantly, and possible genetic defects are not caught or are ignored.
AKC registration is in no waya guarantee of a good pet, and does not justify these vastly overinflated 'retail' prices for pets.

They can charge whatever they want and if someone is willing to pay more, so be it. There are many stupid people out there. Someone just paid $1350 for a corn flake that they said looked like Illinois

I hate to hear of dogs being in pet stores. They just come from puppy mills I have three dogs that come from puppy mills that I rescued. They took a lot of care to get over the horror of being in a place like that.
I would think that a store would be a more cautious for the safety of the animal and not allow people to be able to walk away with them.

It is terrible that these stores are allowed to even have these poor dogs. They leave them in small cages and let people knock on the windows in front of the cage. It is a horrible site to put this small creature through who needs to be handled and loved not thrown in a cage until someone pays an overpriced amount for them.
I know it's hard but please stop buying these animals from them and they will stop suppling them.

Who actually pays $1500 for a dog? Seriously, do you have nothing better to spend money on?

What really gets me is that PetLand offers Labradoodles, puggles, cockapoos, etc. for sale and say they are "purebreed." These dogs are NOT purebreed dogs. They are mutts.$1500 mutts. The AKC does not recognize these dogs as purebreed dogs. I also like when they tell people that labradoodles are hypo-allgenic dogs. Huge lie. These pet stores need to be monitored more closely.

Petland is notorious for getting their puppies from puppy mills. Why would anyone ever purchase anything from them is beyond my comprehension. They do not care who buys the puppies, just as long as they are making a profit. I know someone who bought a puppy from Petland, and when the puppy got very sick, Petland just offered them another puppy. Like that is supposed to make up for it. Adopt from a rescue! Ban puppy mills and the businesses that support them.

I wanted to adopt a kitten after my much loved cat passed away. I was denied at several shelters because I declaw my cats. I love my cats, but I like my furniture, too. I finally bought 3 little brothers from a breeder. They are happily taking over my home...and they don't miss their front claws at all. Everyone is intitled to an opinion, but I think it is sad that some allow their agenda to get in the way of finding loving homes. I know several little kittens went back to cages in a shelter that could have come home with me.
