She should.... First of all, the repo people are not allowed to go on to private property... They are scum... I had my truck repoed, which Ford Credit made a mistake and when I got it back (2 days later), they had stripped off the $1500.00 fiberglass topper and tried to say it was not on there. I made a police stolen property report, but the cops can't work that hard. It is easier to set up people than to handle real crime...

Actually, the repo people CAN go on private property to recover property for their clients.

I would like to see YOUR police report, dated photos of your truck with and without the topper, and ANY evidence that Ford Motor Credit made a mistake.

If you're reporting correctly, you have the makings for a recovery lawsuit against Ford. But the keyword here is a big IF!

Bull. The repo men did not bother to look into that truck or they would have seen the kid. They saw the chance to get the car and they took it. Fine thats there job. But kidnapping isnt. Also what the heck is the mother doing leaving the kid in the car.. the police should be investigating everyone..

Well you are quite misunderstood... Read Fla. Statue 493. We "Repo Agent's" are allowed to enter ANY Private Property to enfore a Lien Enforcement.

When in the search of a vehicle, we as the.. "Repo Man" are allowed to enter property of the Debtor, or anywhere where we are lead to believe the collateral is being held, stored, or concealed.

If you idiots could read (and spell), you would have seen that this car wasn't repoed, it was towed because she parked in a fire lane.

Nobody was repossessing the car, they towed it because it was parked in a fire lane. Can't you people read?

Apparently, they can't. Want to make any bets on whether she'll park in a fire lane again;-)?

Must be a lot of readers who had their vehicles repossessed? Too bad they have poor comprehension & don't understand the difference between illegal parking and not paying for the vehicle?

1. The car was toed because it was in a fire lane. Why is everyone going on and on about the Repo Man?

2. The mother of the child should be facing charges of child endangerment. She left her 7 year old child in a car parked out on the street long enough for a tow turck driver to tow it? Anyone else think that is a bit irresponsible? No doubt she'll sue the company and will get a settlement because she ilegally parked, and left her child unattended. What would have happened if a pedophile would have went by and saw the child in the car?

Right on, that was one of the hardest things I have ever had to read.

What a misleading opening sentence! Typical SS for you...
She was parked in a fire lane and that is why she got towed. There is not a single sentence saying the car was a repo.
In FL, tow companies are known for patrolling the apt complexes they have contracts with and towing illegally parked cars in less than two minutes, then you get to pay them to get it back, plus storage charges. And heaven help you if it is the weekend when they tow it.
Glad the kid is OK but next time she should watch where she parks!

IF U READ THE ARTICLE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A FIRE LANE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH REPO. KNOW YOUR FACTS BEFORE U SPEAK. THE PARENT'S SHOULD NOT HAVE LEFT THE CHILD IN THE CAR EVERYONE IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A SCAPEGOAT AND IT'S ALWAYS THE TOWING COMPANYS FAULT.

Of course, this will not be the Parent's fault for leaving a child unattended in a car parked in a tow away zone!!!!
