I visited Nantucket many times in the 1970s. There was an inn on Broad Street called "The Little Crooked House". Does anyone remember it? What is it now called? What happened to the guy that owned it?

His name was Artie. He was hit by a car & killed in Harvard Square in the 80's. I worked for him as a chambermaid.

Thanks for letting me know Martha, I had no idea. By any chance did you know a resident at the inn named Chip Jackson? May have been before your time. About 20 years old, very long hair, kind of eccentric, maybe about 5' 6" tall.

Wow, late finding this thread. Artie was 44 when he was killed by a car while biking in Provincetown in 1989. The Crooked House ceased to be a boarding house, per se, while the bar Artie opened, The Brotherhood of Thieves, continues to operate.

Did you ever find out anything about Chip? I knew him then, back in the day, and was curious whatever became of him

I lost touch with Chip in the 80s. He was living in Hawaii and changed his name to Gwyl O'Dell. I've tried to find him, but have come up cold. I think he may have lived in N. Carolina for a while as I heard his mom moved there. He became a professional Celtic harper. Did you know him on Nantucket? How did you know him? I wonder if I ever met you. It would have been in the early 1970s.
