Rumor has it that the "General Manager' was also a drug dealer, haven't seen much activity there recently. The resort is also pending bankruptcy.

Amazing how people who do not know what they are talking about like to talk. First, Bodie Island Resort is not a "resort" or owned by a single company or person, it is condominium, made up of 30 individual condominiums, owned by 16 different people and companies (none of which are in bankruptcy). Also, since there are 16 different entities that own property at the resort, all having their own "General Manager", OBX friend must mean they all are rumored to be dealers, ha. I guess it is easy to slander and liable others when you can remain anonymous. Finally, further proof of our OBX friends misinformation, the activity at the resort this off season has never been busier considering over a dozen condominiums are currently being renovated. The parking lot has been full of contractor trucks and workers since the summer season ended. Also, the resort enjoyed a fully booked summer, where every condo was rented the entire summer and all the guest enjoyed a great vacation as reflected in the resort being ranked #1 in specialty lodging as rated by Trip Advisor. We appreciate "guest" inquiring about Bodie Island Condominium Resort and hope they contact one of the management companies that handle the vacation rentals there. Stan White Reality, Shoreline Preferred Properties, Village Reality, SeaWitch Reality, Bodie Island, LLC, and Great Ocean Views, LLC all will be happy to assist you in making reservation for your upcoming vacation to the OBX. Those companies contact information should be readily available via a google search.

"Ready to fall into the ocean" is what it REALLY is!

And a couple of poor suckers have bought units in there recently.

By making that comment you're showing that you are not familiar with the current situation in Nags Head/South Nags Head. Last year's beach nourishment was an inconvenience for a lot of people but this year we are enjoying the results. There is a wide beach there now.

Bodie Island resort has enjoyed quite a few renovations in the last few seasons and is a great value for folks wanting to be oceanfront without paying a fortune.

To answer the first poster, it is still in operation. If you google Bodie Island Resort you will come up with a number of available units with various different companies. As the fourth poster mentioned, each unit there is owned individually and some of them are represented by other companies other than Bodie Island Resort management.

In the later 90's they had to evict all the monthly tenants one winter because the buildings were in such bad condition.

As an 18-year Nags Head resident of course I know about the BN, thankyouverymuch, so I misspoke; let me rephrase it: the buildings could be ready TO FALL ONTO THE SAND. Is that better?

As a matter of fact that is better. Thanks.

Ready to be taken by the ocean due to no beach is an entirely different thing than ready to fall down due to structural deficiency.

If you are basing your opinion of the place on an event that took place over 10 years ago you are hardly up to date.

As I mentioned, there have been many renovations over the last couple of years. The only complaints I received last season from Bodie Island Resort guests centered around the BN. Many told me they found the units pleasant and a good value, they just had a problem with the bulldozers and closed beach for a few weeks.

I confess I have no knowledge at all about the condition of the internal structure of the building and if it spontaneously collapses in the near future I will sure feel silly.

Unfortunately the Bodie Island posting is not completely accurate. Croc llc does own 16 units including 4 rentals and a google search will show its current bankruptcy filings. The manager of those units has at least one drug arrest (easily searchable) and lost his real estate license years ago due to misappropriation of funds and gross mismanagement of the property. My advice is to just stay away.

I find no NC company with the name sea watch realty listed on the NC site
http://www.secretary.state.nc.us/corporations... and I don't see a Magill, G with a real estate license. Why would they change the name? Sounds like they are hiding something.

Sea Watch Realty is registered with the North Carolina Real Estate Commission...agent ACTIVE linensed since 2002...now CELEBRATING 13 YEARS.

IF I MAY..."G MAGILL" > GLEN MAGILL > BEST KNOWN AS RUSTY MAGILL...HAS NEVER BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH SEA WATCH REALTY !

You are entitled to your oppinions...that is all they are...the intelligent public realizes this...whether correct or incorrect...your views are NOT STATEMENTS OF FACT.

Research at the Registrar of Deeds office indicates all condos have new owners.

CURIOUS AS TO WHO THIS RESPONDANT IS...TG ? You sound angry. Get over your self.

My suggestion is
LET DEAD DOGS LIE.

ALLOW THE NEW OWNERS SOME PEACE AND ENJOYMENT OF THEIR INVESTMENTS ON OUR OUTER BANKS.

Again...this respondant is not stating correct information.

By reasonable deduction > Late 1990's...BODIE ISLAND BEACH CLUB was a TIMESHARE resort...the EVICTION EVENT could not have happened.
