My only comment is that may Hope Rippey or any of Shanda's other killers never have another happy moment for the rest of their rotten lives.

A convicted felon should not be able to reduce a sentence handed down by the court for a crime they have been convicted of. The sentence is supposed to be punishment, the convicted party should have to complete the punishment whether they have had good behavior or not. What these girls did was horrific. Training a dog and getting a degree is not fitting punishment. Shandra was denied her right to life.

Having read the details of the murder, there is no way that anybody capable of participating in a crime so horrific should see the light of early parole no matter what they have been able to accomplish in prison. Even if this young woman has been rehabilitated in some way, for the sake of her victim and her family, she should have been punished fully for her crime. Programs that give dangerous criminals a formula for early release is a slap in the face to taxpayers and law-abiding citizens everywhere. I am disgusted that the murderers of this young girl can live free while the mother of their victim is certainly still living with the daily pain, horror and loss of what they did to her daughter. Shame on all of those who saw to it that this young woman can presently be free to live and thrive.

life is cheap in the USa. One can murder somebody and spent minimun amount of time incarcerated. The mother should sue for civil rights and insure that when the remainder two are released much earlier than they were scheduled (judges should NOT have the function or authourity to modify sentences once it is written and sealed) and insure all of what they earn they will not keep. that in itself is punishment for all four of them.

Some mellow person caught with a bag of weed gets more jail time than murderers, rapists and child molesters. What's wrong with that picture, huh?

I'm sure the family has plans for them once their released.... So the judge is probably doing them a favor by letting them out, it would be much safer in prison, cause lord knows once their out, it's free game for the world to have it's avengeance....

I'm no rocket scientist, but I'm sure some cousin or family member of some sort is planning on something, can you blame them...... hmmmmm

How can a person like that ever be released from prison? Even more appalling earlier than their sentence...well one thing is for sure if she was that much of a deviant at young age, can you only imagine how dangerous she could be now? I mean she is much older and prison must have given her an education as well. One last thing if she had no conscience then..she damn sure doesnt have one now, especially if she feels she has paid for her crime.
