With a really depressed economy, more and more people are looking for way to save money. Many people across the United States are finding deep discounts on all kinds of groceries as long as you mind, scratched, dented, and discontinued merchandise.

In Myrtle Creek, our shipping store, GOIN’ POSTAL, added a salvage grocery business within the store. There is two separate businesses using the same cashiers. This does not look like the typical grocery store. The Goin’ Postal Team say they are more “liquidators of product” than a grocery store. Grocery stores keep the same or very similar merchandise so you always know what to expect. In our store, items change daily!

You walk into the Goin’ Postal in Myrtle Creek, and the walls are white with cement floors. The building is an old three bay gas station. There are racks of great merchandise that are 20-80% regular retail. There is Mayonnaise for $1 jar, cereals starting at $2, cake mixes starting at $1. There are deals for everyone!
The food in dented cans and crushed boxes are still good. They do their best to inspect every item and ensure all the packaging is intact. Much of the food is past the best buy dates; however, they follow the guidelines established by the USDA and are subject to inspections. We routinely have our lunch from the shelves of our own store. We simply cannot sell food that we do not eat ourselves.

With food accounting for significant portion of a family’s budget, salvage grocery businesses can offer significant savings on the food that is in stock. These types of stores can feel a treasure hunt because of rapidly changing stock. What is here one week, may not be here another.

According to Matt Boyd, the store has created a great team and is customer focused. Stop by and say hi! Check out our store!
We are very community oriented as well, last year we gave over 7000 lbs to our local food banks.

We are located at 729 S Main Street, next to Valley Tire/across the street from NAPA.

Great place to score quality low priced groceries.

My favorite item to hunt for at Goin Postal is chocolate. Everyone in a while you can get lucky and score soem nice chocolate for a great bargain.

Locally owned biz, keeps the money in the local economy and hires local.
