Hi Folks. I am a Mac Dealer and Apple guy from way back and I'm thinking about opening a store in the Myrtle Beach area. I'd like to know if the local Mac community feels a need for one. It seems as though there is no place around to buy a Mac and no iPod specialist either. Please let me know your feelings on the subject.
Thanks

Ive been using PCs since 98. Death to the Satan Gates!! Always getting infected always crashing. Tech support would be like Maytag repairmen if we all used Macs.(but what about third options like Linuxes??)

I've been meaning to Mac up but am worried about compatability

Yes, yes yes to the Mac guy-- I have my first Mac and think it's the best thing I have ever purchased-- worry about what happens if I "ever" need help with it

Are you a certified Apple Solutions Expert? While the area might need a Mac person, I think that most would agree that they would want someone with credentials. Will you be doing AppleCare warranty repairs?

The Mac guy rocks!!

We were his customers here in Maui and REALLY miss him now that he has moved to South Carolina. Our loss is your gain. Visit his new shop when you get a chance.

Mac sales, service and training would be huge contributor to the Myrtle
Beach and Grand Strand area. Baby boomers with disposable income moving to the coast in droves with the desire to be among the elite
group of Mac users. Bring it on....pal!

I knew the Mac Guy when he was in Nashville for years and still the only one who will still help a brother out when I need an answer for something. He is THE man, still. Very good song writer and guitar player too.

Hey Everyone,
you should check out Sam over at T-Rex Computers in Myrtle Beach - He's been selling new and used Macintosh computers and Apple products for over 15 years now - plus he's South Carolina's only Certified Apple Specialist! Upgrades, Service and Repairs as well, http://www.t-rexcomputers.com - I just had some work done to my powerbook there about 2 months ago and I'm extremely pleased that they give a full one year warranty on the repairs and used machines.

I should clarify - Sam recently became affiliated with the Connecting Point down in Murell's Inlet - the Connecting Point is the Apple Specialist, they sell new Macs and accessories there and that too is a great outlet for the Mac community. I mistakingly assummed that this also made T-Rex an Apple Specialist.

It will be tough competing with T-Rex. I have been buying systems from them for over 18 years. They're family now.

Connecting Point in Murrells Inlet, SC and in Market Common, Myrtle Beach, SC Rocks. Those guys are great! They are certified, they are quick and local. I hate sending off my mac to an out-of-town location and take chances of it getting messed up even more. They are awesome all around and carry or can get any Mac that you need!!! They by the way are the ONLY Apple authorized DEALER OR REPAIR specialist in the Myrtle Beach area. Don't let T-Rex confuse you.
