Myrtle Beach is not the place to peddle dope. MBPD has a great deal experiance with it's home grown criminals. That makes them quite adept at what they do.

Makes you wonder what kind of stupidity he comitted in the first place to give the Police probable cause to stop and search him I bet as this story unfolds it is going to become as hilarious as the "KIA incident" SHOVELHEAD GCB SC

Driving the moped on the sidewalk?
If it's one think I learned from my time on grand jury duty, it's to not do something stupid when selling drugs.

One case involved a van traveling well below the speed limit with it's hazard lights on. It got pulled over over a safety concern, the office wanted to make sure everything was okay with the driver. The driver got out of the van, as instructed, but kept his hands in his pocket. The officer requested the hands be removed from the pocket, the driver didn't comply, so the guy was arrested, searched, and it was discovered he was clutching bags of cocaine in his pockets.

Dumb criminal. If he drove the speed limit, if he didn't keep his hazard lights on (brings attention), if he removed his hands and kept the drugs in his pocket, he would probably still be walking around, as the officer admitted he suspected nothing until the guy wouldn't remove his hands.

So why the hell would you drive around, on the sidewalk, with no identification, while selling drugs. Drive on the street, when you get pulled over, show your id, and you'll probably be on your way. Stupid.

But it's probably just like selling drugs near a park, or a school, which increases the crime.

You need to have a valid driverís license to operate a moped? Odds have it that 80% of all moped operators can be arrested at anytime. Aren't they known as liqour cycles or DUI-mobiles?
I would like to suggest that a law should be passed to ban all mopeds from roads with a speed limit greater than 35 mph. This is for safety reasons not hate of mopeds.

It is just a shame that people are still being incarcerated for simple marijuana possession.

I think anything over 50cc you must have a motorcycle license, however I'm not 100% certain

Another biker gets busted in Myrtle Beach. This is what we are trying to stop by banning bike weeks.

You need either a drivers license, or a class g license. But if you have a normal license (class d), you do not need a class g to operate a moped.
Got that from the DMV website.

You would be absolutely correct on that one I also thought you had to have a moped license also but if that is the case how do all these convicted drunk drivers ride one. on this end of the beach we call them Dewey flyers or liquor cickles SHOVELHEAD GCB SC
