MB Case: Prostitute sting nets county politician
“I'm just sorry that I got caught up in it.”
Ronald Vogel sees fewer prostitutes and more police in the neighborhood he shares with Horry County Councilman Marion D. Foxworth III, a longtime advocate for increasing police patrols in the area.
Foxworth now faces a charge of loitering for prostitution after Myrtle Beach police arrested him and 21 others on Thursday in a prostitution bust in the Withers Swash community that he has worked to make safer.
Foxworth, who is up for re-election next year, denies any wrongdoing.
What's next for Foxworth, who said he supported a loitering ordinance for Myrtle Beach in 2004 so police could crack down on prostitution, is uncertain. Read more
