You needed to make a phone call to figure that out? Maybe Think Again is right. You aren't smart enough to hold a public office. Keep it up you are fun to watch and read.

The powers that own the paper or the dim powers that run this town that may be getting a little nervous because the villagers are hot on their trail.

No, I figured that's what happened, but i do not make assumptions, I like to know what i'm talking about so I made a phone call right to the source and got the facts. You see that is where I am different than most of the poster's on this site, I deal in facts, you have your head up your ass.

That was funny. Obviously Mr. Forney doesn't monitor the facebook accounts of his staff.
If he did he would realize that the hacks he has as reporters are incapable of fair and balanced reporting and they're not interested in doing so, either.
What crock of squat.

Censorship at it's finest. If someone censored the LDN they would be bitching and moaning to no end, and screaming about first amendment rights. You know, I don't think I'm going to even read this rag anymore.

The best bit of report the LD News ever did was report your defeat.

Geez, started reading this blog as in interested "way back" Dixie employee - hired on as "groundskeeper" when I was 12 or 13 as groundskeeper (politically correct way of saying paper picker-upper!). Later, when old enough, went inside to work grill, etc. Bill Halsell was a great guy to work for. Remember Fri and Sat nights working grill - very hectic, but worked with a great crew! Left there when I turned 17, enlisted in the Army for 3. Returned there working nights, after my day job at the "boxie", for about 1-1/2 years prior to my 8 year "career" at West Virginia U.

The dixie sure brings back many memories of the 50's when it was for sure a good time to be a teen & growing up, I do believe the orginal dixe was a small building at 8th St next to the RR tracks on SW corner & it actually looked like a dixie cup with a large straw coming out of roof & than moved out to where it finally closed up, If memory serves me right 2 brothers came up from Reading area to open up the dixie starting at 8th & RR, Bill & Harry Hassel ?????????/ wether we went skatimg at the Casino , went to the drive in, or the dance at the moose where the historical society is now or a playground dance we always ended up at the dixie to watch the burnouts or at times a heated drag race right out front down towards Myerstown, what fun days back than from the 50;s with the flathead fords with the glasspacks to the middle 50's with the introduction of the OHV V8;s in the 55 chevy & Pontiac & of course the Y-Block fords & the plymouth & Dodges that led into the 60;s muscle cars which could " that drove the copp in the 53 ford nuts ?
Yup, BB-Q, French fries with gravey & a Choc Milk shake & than on to a dragrace some where near by almost every night,
The owners of both the Dixie Cup and the Dixie Drive In were my uncle William Halsell and my father Harry Halsell.
