The Bible is very clear-there is no issue-it is wrong to practice homosexuality. God is a just God.

Where does freedom of speech go when you are standing for what is right & moral? People want to hear about freedom of speech as long as it doesn't step on their toes. We applaude this brave woman for standing up for God's word. I wish more people would.

It is people like Rep Kern that make me ashamed to be an American. What this country has become is not what our fathers and grandfathers fought for.

The right to free speech does not extend to speech that causes harm. This same kind of speech was used against African Americans at one time in our country's history. The Bible was used to justify slavery. I'm tired of free speech that is harmful and uninformed by credible facts. Sally Kern is a disgrace too our state and to those of us that call ourselves Christian.

why can't she voice her opinion? If the homosexual community can take a stand on what they believe why can't someone who doesn't believe as they do voice an opinion? All she is doing is voicing her opinion against homomsexual lifestyle. So does the first admendment apply ONLY if you agree with them? What is wrong with her taking a stand on her Christian belief.

The gay lifestyle is against everything that has made this nation great. Gays should be loved, prayed for, and helped, but we must not yield to lifestyles that go against God's word. I admire anyone that stands up for the truth as Mrs. Kern has done. Have we regressed so far that we can not see this? It will be a sad day when we stand before our Lord and say we let it happen.

The Bible says you will be persecuted by the world when you stand for the truth. I hope she doesn't back down. People try to twist the scriptures all the time to make it agree with their own agenda. This issue is one that is clearly spoken against in the scripture, you would have to literally cut verses out of the Bible to say the Bible doesn't teach against homosexuality. I hope more people will get the courage to stand up for this truth, before we become a Godless country!

Very narrow minded thinking on her part....she is an embarrasement to the human race. Plus she is creating a bigger problem for the all minority groups that she thinks are evil according to her God....What would she do if her son or daughter turned out to be gay?

I agree with the comments made by Rep. Kern. She has every right to free speach. First amendments rights still exist even for lawmakers. I think it is disgraceful that she has been slammed for speaking her beliefs. Homosexuality is not an alternative life style it is a SIN.

The Bible is clear that daughters can be sold into slavery, women should be subservient to their husbands, we shouldn't eat shrimp (it is an abomination), and many other things that we don't practice. Jesus was clear that divorce was wrong but said nothing about homosexuality. Stop using the Bible when apparently you haven't truely read it and worse yet understood it.

No, Kern should not apologize for her comments.
Perversion should not be condoned in the name of political correctness or tolerance.
Will the next generation be asked to accept pedophiles as people who were "born that way"?

Wow. She was a teacher too. I wouldn't want my children in her class. I don't really think spreading more hatred is what this country needs.

The comment about terrorists is ridiculous. She's probably one of those people that think Muslims worship Muhammad too. Educate yourself and quit spreading hatred Mrs. Kern.

I love how she says, "We're not teaching facts and knowledge anymore," about the public schools. But, I would be willing to bet she wants Intelligent Design taught in science classes.

I am so glad she said what she said and I am so glad she has decided to stand up for her values. The proves to me she is a rightous woman rather than a fair woman. She is speaking the truth rather than what someone wants her to tsay. As a retired Sailor I can't help but love what she has said and done. I only hope she will stick to her guns, (God)
