I'm planning on relocating to Muskogee due to family. Can anyone tell me how the job market and housing market is around there. I'm a computer engineer, are there any computer jobs around in that area? I'm coming from western KY so hopefully it isnt as bad as here.
sure

Check WWW.usajobs.gov for jobs. The crime rate in Muskogee is horrific and the police department is a joke. Good luck!

The pay is about the same here for those types of jobs and its even about 1/3 lower for what I do if I were in a bigger city. I wasnt aware the crime was bad. I just wanted to know if they had any large industries or businesses that hire computer people. Also if its that bad how far of a drive is it to Tulsa?

'Computer people' is pretty vague. Definitely, if you're a software engineer of any sort, you'll need to consider Tulsa. Tulsa is a 40 minute drive via the turnpike.

The crime isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Just avoid the ghetto parts (6th street hill, North/South junctions and that neighbor). Try to relocate to the east side of town (generally, most places off of S. York are fine, although you still have your more run down neighborhoods). Honor Heights is on the west side of town and one of the best neighborhoods in Muskogee. It's near Honor Heights Park which hosts the Garden of Lights every winter and Azalea Festival every Spring. It's also where the Veteran's Hospital is.

It depends where you live.
Don't be surprised by all the people walking around in there. Also the pay is really too low here.
There are god paying jobs, but they haven't hired anyone in 3 years. Most pay is $8 & lower.$6+ after taxes. My neighborhood has 4 people with out power, or they use only one light bulb in the house! I never seen any lights on for 4 years now.
That says a lot about the town.

On avg, it takes 500+ background checks to get 3 workers. That info was 4 years ago. So it might be 1000 per 3. The poverty rate for kids is at 40%
And we are still the child abuse capital of Oklahoma!
I have most info at:

DHS, labor force studies etc. Look into it your self.
