Vote yes. As far as car insurance you have a choice to drive a car. If you don't drive then you need no insurance. If you do drive you better have it.
If you don't get sick I don't think the govt' should make a person purchase something that is not a choice!

The point is a person never knows from one day to another whether you will or won't get sick and need a doctor. You may start the day not expecting to have some kind of accident but you have one. So the point is since there is no guarantees in life that won't get sick or have an accident everyone should have health insurance. And it is a little late after you are sick in think you should have health insurance. After you are in the hospital which is not cheap I know no health insurance is going to give you health insurance coverage!

How very nicely explained and how nice to read a post from a gentleman! You understand that Tamara like myself comes from an older generation than probably the other poster and I find myself at times asking my kids or grandkids "exactly what does this term mean?" since they abbreviate or just randomly make up jargon. Keeps me on my toes!

Tamara, as always I enjoy reading your posts. Hope all is well in your part of Oklahoma or did you get snowed in?

The weather did not get serious this way. Since I use to live in Enid I was thankfull I was not still there. Things are good this way. Some of the ways people talk it is as if they are talking in code. Hey maybe that is what is wrong with our people in government they all have their own code when they communicate so thats why nothing gets done.

What is this? Our country's budget is in big trouble. March 1st it will be getting worse but Kerry announces this morning that we, This Country, will be giving the Syria Rebels 60 milion Dollars. Now what is wrong with this picture?

First Obama is outrageously lying to the American Public! Sequestration is only cutting a very small percentage of the INCREASE in funding. But he always FAILS to tell the american public that little detail. Chances are you won't notice any difference unless you are a Dept of Defense contractor trying to get a NEW CONTRACT APPROVED. After weeks of telling America the sky is falling, finally today Obama is backing off from his claims on sequestration...no one should be stupid enough to fall for political games being proprogated by this president and his white house!

IRS is announcing that your overpayment of taxes (tax refund)may be several weeks delayed even if you e-file. Again our federal government doesn't work for the people, our people labor to keep up with the increase in growth in the federal government.

I have a question for you Mr. President and the democratic party..WHY HAVEN'T YOU ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED IN LEADING AND RESOLVING THIS ISSUE BEFORE SEQUESTRATION WENT INTO EFFECT?

I have been wondering also Why this big meeting the President is having with congress is tomorrow and not a week ago at least. I believe when a person knows there is a situation good or bad is coming up you prepare to be ready for it. This day after crap I am not getting. I am beginning to think that if anyone is believing what comes out of Pres. Obama and Harry Reids mouth is a Fool! I guess is golf lessons were more important than taking care of budget business!

And to OMG my point was in giving $60 million dollars to the Syria Rebels was if we cannot pay our country's bills then why are we giving money away. The way I have always looked at running our household and business you got to have all in order then what is left over you can do with what ever you want. Maybe a common housewife could have handled this country budget better than it is and has been handled!

The most common sense conclusion one arrives at is, the intent of the Obama-made scare-questration was meant to accomplish failed miserably and forcing the scare-mongerer to back peddle his ridiculous lies, do a photo-op while mesmerizing his followers while he dreams up plan “B”.

Why, is because of his over-indulgence of eating “Dream Cookies” he is addicted to along with the misguided advice from his Chicago Mob Advisors and “Charlie Sheen Style Polls” of “I’M WINNING” had him convinced Republicans would cave into his reckless ideologies. Sorry Charlie Obama, not this time. In short, it back-fired. ROFLMAO

The real truth is this Big Eared Purple Lip Kenyan should never have been hired. The fact that he was means we have decades of clean-up to do to fix the mess he has created. Anyone who doesn’t realize that, is either blind or complicit.

Well you've heard me say many times in the past that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are worthless and do nothing but make matters worse for America. As far as Obama I learned in the first 4 years more than I needed to know about his agenda and how he operates his white house. They ALL hurt America.

Yes Nancy was just on the noon news blame all the budget problems on the Republicans. Pres. Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi want all their way or it's the highway but then I would also have to say the Republican are not much better. Neither side wants to work together. So who is this hurting the most? Darn sure is not the people that are running the government! I hear all on Capital Hill are leaving tomorrow for a long weekend. That tells me these government people really just donot care! That would be like a surgeon leaving in the middle of a serious operation because the stiuation was getting a little iffy!
