Buyer Beware!

Purchase 3 games (packaged to apear new) from this place. The owner watched as my 7 yr old gleefully pulled dollar after dollar from his wallet and proudly payed for the games from his own pocket. My child went home and put the first game in his Playstation. The game would not play due to scratches. We immedietely to it back less than 15 minutes from our purchase time. Child asked if game could be repaied (polished) owner stated no it was too bad and to pick out something else. Child said "that" was the game I wanted and if I cant have it I want my money back". Owner refused, at that time I became involved and told him that we just left here 15 minutes before and the others were still in the new packaging. The owner said too bad, NO REFUNDS. My 7 yr old reluctantly picked out another game but as soon as we got to our car he started crying. I went back in to try to reason with the guy but he was a jerk.

I went back in yesterday to see if I could try again to reason with the man, and right there on the shelf was the SAME defective game repackaged again. I pointed it out to him and asked if that was for the next child he wanted to screw out of their money. I was asked to leave, and I did. Its really too bad because the owner knows we have purchased on many occasions there. But the $27 my child spent there will be the last penny he ever gets of ours.

I've asked my neighbor who has a son and buys quite a few games and they will not do bussiness there also for a similiar situation.

So please do bussiness at Fantasy Castle at your own expense. BUYER BEWARE

Also in the past they have had a habit of selling the used games for the same price as the brand new games you can get at Walmart.

I've known then for over 15 years. I have been treated great by them, and every time I see another customer in there, they are getting the same good service I consistently receive. I've literally seen them call a place to check a price for a customer, something Gamestop will not do. They also do actually have a comparable return policy then Gamestop(7-30 days, depending on the product). And, Yes, they do not give refunds, but Gamestop doesn't either, unless you call corporate. they give you store credit, just like Fantasy Castle.They also match GameStop's used pricing, and I've NEVER seen just a disc based game in there at 60 unless they bought it new to have a copy release day.

I can't believe that someone had the audacity to call Jesse and Toby crooks. Could you imagine running a small business like that with 2 Gamestops and a Best buy in the same town, and several others within 30 minutes away? They aren't crooks, they are firm on their prices. I've seen them work with people and lose money on it.

If the majority of America's mindset is like this, we won't have anymore. Think about that next time you pass by there, especially if you own your own business. By supporting a business, you help it grow. By being hateful because you didn't get exactly what you wanted because it goes against store policy (refunds, discounts, better deals), ask yourself if Wal-mart, K-mart, Gamestop, etc. would break their very strict policies for you.

It's a used game store. they repackage them to make sure they haven't been tampered with prior to a purchase to protect the customer and themselves. Better the Gamestop ripping games out of the packages, with they can take home and play! and still sell that played game as new. He did exactly what his policy said: no refunds, store credit, exactly the same at Gamestop. He probably would have let the kid have a game worth a little more had you talked it out with him.

I'd like to point out that I don't hate Gamestop, but if I can, I'll support local first. I point this stuff out as a comparison only.

They are great pepole all my stuff i have came frome there games and all they are a little. momma papal. shop they work hard and long she is great with pepole just like a mamma and papa shope should be. u keep money in small busnise u keep money at home big busnise are crooks they don't care aboult family and sry for the boy but she would of called around for him and she would have felt sry for the little boy and tread every thing she could do to make him happy she just that kind of person and i hope she and him are doinggood and see u all later got an xbo need look at thanks for all help and good servise and good deals thanks

Yea they are not very good with business and just fyi when they were at the old location on York st their nasty ass son had a video camera in the bathroom to watch girls and this is not a lie I know the girl that found the video camera. But doing a young child like that no matter what the policy is , is ridiculous the owner should have said ok let me test it and if in fact it is bad I will give you another one. There is no reason to be that way to anyone especially a child. I've heard good and bad things and they have always had a big selection but they were over priced but I'm guessing that's why they are no longer in business.

For someone with a no refund policy they won't budge on ,they sure throw tantrums at other businesses about the no refund policy. If they are such great business owners and understand no refund means NO ,, then they should appreciate another business that tells them no after they have been alerted to a no refund policy. Their " new" location was run by their son, who repaired my sons Xbox 3 times, the 3rd time the store shut down and we have never gotten in touch with the guy on how to get our Xbox back. He won't answer the after hours phone number he provided . Shady business.

Glen the son lives at 1220 chestnut. We live on the block and the tweakers are ridiculous over there. Good luck
