Surprise surprise, a lawsuit. I was waiting for this. I really thought the paramedic was going to be the bigger man and not drag this out.

All I can say is what took him so long. This cop needs to be held accountable for his actions. It is apparant that the almighty OHP will not do anything about it. This is whaat I don't understand. I choke or assault someone, I go to jail. But a Cop chokes a professional paramedic in the preformance of his duty, and he get a paid vacation. Now, somehow, that does not add up to me. But then when you have an organization that equals themselves to God, than what can you expect?

Pain and suffering? Oh bs!! This EMT suffered no ill effects from this confrontation other than maybe a bruised ego. Both trooper and EMT were a little overboard with the whole thing and the entire situation could have been handled better/different. The trooper could have calmed down a bit and just followed the ambulance to the hospital. Mr. White could have minded his own business, let the trooper deal with the DRIVER. The trooper was a little worked up when he stopped the ambulance, but Mr. White's involvement and his demeanor escalated the incident to a higher level. By Mr. White's actions and attitude, the trooper could have felt he was in jeopardy from this man. If Mr. White and/or the ambulance driver felt the trooper was wrong and out of line, the driver could have taken the ticket, then called the trooper's supervisor to report the situation. Mr. White should have stayed IN THE AMBULANCE with the patient and minded his own business. This is ridiculous. I certainly hope this lawsuit is tossed out of court along with Mr. White. GROW UP Mr. White and quit looking for a fast payout!

I was a little surprised too, but then I figured that the officer has had plenty of time to apologize. I can see it being such a small amount of money because the officer will be able to afford the price and the judge will finally be the one to put Martin in his place and maybe require him to get some type of anger management before he blows up on somebody else since it doesn't appear that OHP is smart enough or honest enough to fire him.

Trooper should have put the jerk in jail. That's what the criminal emt deserved. This is BS. Trooper might as well get ready to file his own lawsuit(s).

The driver was going to be arrested, so how would Mr. White be able to attend to his patient and get the ambulance to the hospital at the same time? I'm glad that there are paramedics like Mr. White who would put the patient as priority. It could have just as easily been you or me in the back of that ambulance that day. I'd want to get to the hospital ASAP! How about you?

I am not suprised at all. White loves the limelight and this is just one more way to be in it AND get his own free paycheck.Martin should get his own counter suit going. Then we'll all get a show!

At least this way it won't be swept under the rug. If the Trooper had been man enough to admitt his mistake and appologise White would have certainly been man enough to accept it. This could have been so simple.

Hurting Martin's stubby sausage fingers with his muscular neck? I hope the paramedic sues that goose stepper into the ground and then porks his wife. Get that piece of trash off our highways.

Gee, a lawsuit. Why doesn't that surprise us? Another lawsuit to tie up the legal system and the line the pockets of another attorney.

Then we'll all get a show! White didn't ask to be put in the position he found himself in. The "trooper" caused and escalated the situation. He deserves to be sued not only by White but the family also. The trooper should have allowed the ambulance to continue as soon as he learned a patient was on board. The video shows no failure to yield. It was the "trooper" who had the attitude from the onset not the paramedic...
