Time for a change in Muskegon? Anybody like to see new elected officials in office besides myself?

I guess not. If I'm not mistaken the Board of Commissioners for Muskegon County, the sheriff and the Prosecutor are all going to be up for a vote this year.

I do believe it is time for a change. I heard Annette Smedley was running for Prosecutor. Lets show we want a change by voting Annette Smedley for Prosecuting attorney in November.

I had heard the same about attorney Smedley running for prosecutor. If that is true, I also will be voting for her. I also heard that there are four people running for Board of Commissioners. I will be voting for whomever is running in my district that is not already on the board. I think the only way for a good change in the right direction for Muskegon County is to put new elected officials in office. I have found an interesting web site that details some of the stupid things currently going on in this county. If you have any interest let me know.

I just read the article in yesterdays Chronicle. I find Tony's comments humerous. I don't know why nobody else has run against him in the last 16 years, but it isn't because of public satisfacation.

As I've said before (and got deleted) there are not 2 legal brain cells to rub together in the Prosecutor's office right now. Vote his pitiful butt out of there!!!

I still cannot access the site and I have tried different variations. Today is the last day for people to announce they are running for office in Muskegon County. Any predictions? Many changes need to be made with our elected officials in this county. Hopefully a few more new people will decide to run for County Commissioner. Best thing that could happen with this counties government would be a new Board of Commissioners; which would lead to a new County Administrator, and we need a new County Prosecutor. My vote is still with Annette Smedley. Just my opinion....

Whoo hooo, found out that there is an upcoming event for Annette Smedley. There will be a pig roast at Pomona Park in Fruitport on June 13, 2008 from 6p-9p. Other than getting to know one of the canidates for Prosecutor, the BEST part is the entertainment. This event will have comedian Kevin Zeoli providing a bunch of laughs. If anybody is interested in more details let me know. I'll do my best to get them for you.

I was very happy about the turn out of people running for offices this year. 2008 will hopefully be the start of Muskegon turning around, with new elected officials in office. So far the only person I have heard anything about is Annette Smedley, so at this point she still has my vote. Anybody have insight on any of the other canidates running for election?

I grew up in Muskegon. I haven't lived there for years, but even recently I've personally heard the legal community in Kent County say some pretty surprising things about Tony Tague. Don't know if its true, but these people don't have any apparent motivation to make it up.

Well so far I've made a couple of decisions as to who I will be voting for. Definately Al Swanson in the August primary for Prosecurtor. Tony Moulatsiotis for Treasure; he actually gives a darn about people and lets the public know fact from fiction when it comes to the economic status of the County. Karen Buie for County Clerk; why in the world would the residents of Muskegon County not re-elect her? She is in my opinion, the best thing since sliced bread. She is down to earth and has a great head on her shoulders. Why fix what isn't broken? It is too bad I don't have a County Commissioner to vote for. The whole darn board needs to be removed. What we have now are a bunch of self serving, don't give a darn men who answer to the County Administrator, not the other way around.
