The following is a letter I have sent to Muskegon
This is Bob Johnson SR, you have help me over the past few years, with Community Mental Health services for my son , and help me to communicate with the city of Muskegon Inspection relating to my home.
At that time the City of Muskegon was threating to take my home and kick me off the property.
In the past year the City was not able to help me with some of the repairs, they were reconsidering to help me with a new electrical system for my home, that cost over $10,000.00
yet since my home was greatly damage by carpenter ants, and the present appraised value of my home is about $35,000 and the mortgage on my home is $59,000.0 . and in 2004 the appraised value was $72,500.0 and I was not able to refinance my home to conform to the city inspection building codes.
I decided I did not want to waste tax dollars for a new electrical system, and recently my home is going into Foreclosure.
I do not understand what my rights are dealing foreclosure, only that I will have to move out soon from my Home and presently making plans when I become order to move out my home.
Also since the Mortgage company states foreclosure procceeding on my credit report, which keeps me from achieving another place to live, because either landlords or Manufacture home community will not rent to me.
My daughter had moved to near the College she is attending to, and my developmental disable son may either move into his mother home full time or I might be able to manage to fine a him another home in time , mean while
At this time , i am face with being homeless, and I contacted the Secretary of State about my change of address on my Driver License
I inform them I will be living out of my van, because I am presently back to work as a Home health aid which will lead to me loosing my social security benefits.
An I need my transportation to and from clients homes and provide some of my clients with transportation.
I do not know how this Michigan law maybe changed or altered as noted below, yet I will not have a residential address,/ Physical address. I do not plan to live at a resucue mission,
Yet i have established a PO BOX address ,
The Secretary of State stated I can not use a PO box address on my Driver license. Also when I called Secretary of State they had stated they been receiving an overwhemling amount of telephone calls related to the same issue, people are going homeless due to foreclosures, yet we , who are ending homeless will not have a residentail / physical address. that is if the homeless live in thier cars.
The law in Michigan states that your Michigan driver license must have a residential address listed.
Some one was telling me since I will be living
in my Van
my adresss would be as follows
ANY ST (street) ANY CITY (city) MI (state) ANY ZIP (zip)
When I ask The Secretary of State they stated no, a person can ot use "ANY"
It seems The Secretary of State has no way to deal with a person who does not have a physical address, except, for that person to reside at a rescue mission and have someone at the rescue mission fill out a form that the person is homeless and use the rescue mission address on their driver license.
There must be another solution to this problem for homeless people, because not every one could manage to live in a rescue mission , because of their rules when a person has to be their and when they can leave and return to keep their bed.

Dear Mr. Johnson:
I am sorry to hear of your unfortunate situation. I am not sure where you are in the process of your forclosure, but there are services that may assist you in saving your home which can prevent the issues that you are facing. Have you heard of Neighborhood Investment Corporation? www.my-nic.org/
I encourage you to visit the website. Their goal is to help save homes in the City of Muskegon. They may be able to help you with both fixing the problems you have with your home and also with the mortgage and forclosure. Grant money is available and it is definately worth looking into. I wish you luck.

My son lived with me for 2 months, from October 2011 to December 2011. He is mentally ill and now lives somewhere in another state. I want to stop all his tons of bills (medical mostly for his many hospitalizations, and lots of others, including collection agencies) from coming here. I am afraid that it will affect my personal credit, although people say it will not. I recently tried getting a new cable company and they ran a check which came up as bad credit in the house. I am sure it probably has something to do with my sons unpaid bills, allthough I am the sole owner of this property and I have great credit. I tried doing a change of address but it requires a forwarding address, which I cannot get from him. He refuses to give me an address. How can I prevent these bills from coming here without putting in for a change of address, which I cannot do without a real forwarding address? Please help, thanks.
