Deadly tanker crash near Muskegon

Authorities are investigating an accident involving a tanker and vehicle that has left at least two people dead.

All four were riding in a vehicle involved in a crash with a semi truck. I pray the fourth one pulls threw

I just drove through there and the semi is still parked in the middle of the road but I did not see a car. I just thought the truck was broke down.

Coming from a widow (that's husband was killed by a semi and remarrying a truck driver) please to everyone out there--please stop and think before pulling out in front of or trying top pass a semi it is bigger than you and can't stop like we can in a our personal cars.
I fear for everyone's lives that thinks that a semi can stop on a dime I give our truck drivers alot of credit for driving these big machines and dealing with idiot drivers.

From my understanding it was four boys in the car, and they all went to Reeths-Puffer. Could someone post on here as soon as they know the names of these boys. I pray for all of the families and friends of these boys and hopefully the fourth will make a full recovery.

This was 30 seconds away from my house
but i was at work when it happend and didnt know til i got out this morning
but from what i heard
i know one that was invovled but i dont know all the names who were there
i know one for sure but i heard the others are freshman from reeths-puffer and one that i know is from puffer but i think 12th grade

They said the car turned left in front of the semi. That means the semi had a blinking yellow light also . Prayers to the families.

Oh my God, I just can't believe it. I wish I knew who the boys were. Im in 12th grade at Reeths-Puffer, my heart is breaking for everyone involved.If you get any new information will you please let me know, thank you!

WOODTV site has released the names of 2 of the 16 yr olds who died and a 19 yr old who is critical.
They've not released the name of the 3rd person who died yet.

Muskegon Chronicle has list all of the names of the kids including the driver who is in critical condition at the hospital.

I knew one of the kids who died last night. He was a really kind kid. I hope that he can rest in peace and god bless this family in thier time of hardship.

I was not supper close with one of the students killed but he will be greatly missed. I am very shaken by this tragity and can't belive something like this hits so close to home. Today we do not have school due to an inservice and it was supposed to be a great day, it no longer will be. Friday is going to be a horrible day at school that I'm not looking forward too. My prayers go out to all of the family's and friends. We'll see you again soon guys!

Lets not insult on here... an accident can happen at any time of any day or night... Its not because the driver was stupid, thats so disrespectful and if there was drinking involved sit back and understand there are billions of people that drink and drive everynight... (no I do not drink and drive never have never will as I dont drink) but no one is stupid because of a accident, its unfortunate and very sad... and we should be sending out prayers and thoughts not insults... think if you were in this spot...

NOT an accident. Its not an accident when you turn in FRONT of a tanker truck, well lighted, at an intersection. Its called negligent homicide. Not paying attention, not thinking of the safety of your passengers, etc, etc.
These young men may have been the best boys on earth but it will not detract from a driver who turned left in FRONT OF A SEMI!!! I would like to emphasize that point....
Very tragic and very sad for all involved. I think of the truck driver who watched it all unfold in front of him.
