I have been told that alchohol is a disease and that his had been used to rationalize this sort of accident. I believe alchoholism is a disease of choice, like a smoker with lung cancer who continue's to smoke. These individuals who continue on this road of self distruction eventually destroy other lives. Case in point has proven that. The father of this young mans should feel the brunt of this horrendous crime. How can he hold his head up knowing he allowed his son to drive in this condition, and be just as inebriated as his son while riding with him. What kind of parent can he be? This man has obviously never grown up and chooses to think of himself first. Though I feel the son must be held accountable, I place the blame for the destroyed life of Bryan Terry on the shoulders of the father. He should see his own son in this hospital bed with no future, due to the actions of a stranger.....do you think he would then realize the consequences of being AND raising a drunk?

I never thought I could hold such a felling of disappointment in a family member. It's my ferm belief that if he had not had that bike under his truck, he would not have stopped. I'm even more disappionted in my uncle for letting this happen. He's no rolemodel to his sons or to his nephews. I fell so bad for my aunt to have to deal with one drunk let alone three. My heart goes out to Bryan and his family and I wish I could do more then just say I'm sorry
I know I'll never look at Luke the same way and Dick if that pisses you off that's too bad. |

I just recently found out about Brian's tragic accident... I met him a year ago and we have kept in touch often, but I hadn't heard from him in a few months. Thank God I had a family member contact (I met his cousin via phone and text) and he told me or I would have never known. Can anyone tell me his status now? This family member (who doesn't have close contact) said he's unsure, but that he didn't think Brian's at home or in the hospital anymore - I'd really like to know how he's doing...

Luke Brunner was seen by an ex-co worker on the lake boating and drinking beer with his girlfriend and buddies. After that he got into his truck and drove. A few weeks ago he was also seen hauling wood in burlington. talk about not learning a damn thing. He has got to be the biggest piece of shit ever! I hope someone reads this and informs Brian Terry's family about this. i hope it helps their case and that it helps put Luke Brunner away for a long time.

Brian Terry- I'm sorry for what this ass has done to your life. I know you wont be able to go a day without reliving this crime. This guy has caused pain a lot of peoples lives. I will pray for you.

When will this guy learn? How far does it have to go? he obviously hasn't learned from previous arrests. what is it that will teach him to consider the seriousness of his actions and how his bad decisions affect others. an innocent person is injured for life. I guess the world isn't a place that is safe to go for a summer sunday cruise anymore. when there's bastards like this on the road. i hope you rot in a jail cell. That's where you belong. actually- no. you belong to be the one in the hospital bed feeling all that pain. you deserve it.

I feel this could have been avoided if there were tougher penalties for habitual drunken drivers. Coming from NY, I have noticed that drunken driving in Wisconsin is "frowned" upon but not taken very serious. ALOT of people drink here, so to be caught driving drunk is a norm. If Luke (or anyone else for that matter) was in jail, he would have no chance to do what he did. For example, the principal (Mrs. Jennifer Bukosky), 10 year old daughter Courtney, and Jennifers unborn child were KILLED by a guy that should have never been on the road in the first place; he should of been in jail. I don't know if "Miller" has a grip on politics in Wisconsin, considering they brew here and rely on people buying their beer, but somewhere the line has to be drawn. I know people that got caught driving drunk 3 times and only got a couple of days in jail. That would never be tolerated anywhere else. It only takes driving while intoxicated once to kill someone. Next time that someone might be you or your child. Think about that
