Oh and if you own a newer Suzuki like i do you might want to check the value because what I financed is a big difference than what my car is worth since they pulled out of the us market! Seems like we are getting screwed and stuck with a vehicle that's not worth half of what we are paying for!

I bought a 2006 Suzuki Forenza premium new. It has had many problems. Recently the transmission sensor had to be replaced along with many leaking gaskets at 81000 miles. The struts are shot, the airbag light stays on all the time, the brake light switch has been replaced at least once. The switch that allows the car to go into gear has been replaced several times. This car has been a big dissapointment.

We also have owned an 2005 Forenza that had many problems, 2009 Reno that had 20,000 miles and the struts had to be replaced and the transmission was going out on.. Now we have this kizashi and the transmission range sensor messed up on, picked it up from the shop and its messed up still. I was just curious because they couldn't answer me at the dealership if that was a big problem in Suzuki's. Suzuki's have also lost half of there value since they pulled out of the US!

I have a 2007 Suzuki Forenza, when I was in park I put it in reverse the car didn't recognize the car was in reverse and it had a line across it and check engine light came on. I put the car back in park and then was able to drive it, and the light went of,f but the while driving the car the line will go acrross the drive and the car will no longer accellerate, which can be dangerous on the highway. I brought it into Pepboys they said a transmission code was popped up, but they reset the codes, even though I didn't tell the guy to do that. Now the problem occurs but the check engine light doesn't come on. I brought it to a Suzuki dealership and they said they think it is a transmission sensor, but the diagnostic check said it was fine, and they said wait until the check engine light comes back on, but the problem now occurs without the check engine light comming on. But i'm scared to drive it on the road because at anytime I could lose power and be injured in a car accident. I had it towed to a local mechanic and hope they can repair it.

I have a 2007 Suzuki Forenza with 50,000 miles on it. When I was in park I put the car in reverse, the dashboard display did not recognize that the car was in reverse, and it had a line diaganally across it, and the check engine light came on. I put the car back in park and then was able to drive it, and the light went off, but while driving the car the line will go acrross the drive and the car will no longer accellerate, which can be dangerous on the highway or at intersections. I brought it into Pepboys, and they said that a transmission code was popped up, but they reset the codes, even though I didn't tell him to do it, otherwise I would have written the code down but I think that it said that the transmission range sensor was faulty. I brought it to a Suzuki dealership and they said they think it is a transmission sensor, but the diagnostic check said it was fine, and they said wait until the check engine light comes back on, but the problem now occurs without the check engine light comming on. I'm scared to drive it on the road because at anytime I could lose power and be injured in a car accident. I had it towed to a local mechanic and hope they can repair it.

Well i first noticed it when i put it in reverse it wouldn't do anything, then later that day I pulled in my drive way and put it in park and went to turn it off and on my dash it says gear shifter not in park and won't shut completely off or let me lock my doors. So i took it to the Closest dealer ad they said it was my transmission range sensor, info to pick it up and they gave it back just like it was when I took it over there. Needless to say I'm very aggravated my car is alittle over 6 months old and 10,000 or less miles on it.

Bought a new 2008 Forenza. Changed 5 Transmission sensors since then and two complete transmissions. Throttle box went bad which was still under warranty , but then it went bad again after 30K and had to pay for it myself. Door hanbdles paint is coming off. A/C compressor went bust twice. It is the worst car I ever had. If someone is trying to sell you a Forenza, slapp him across the face right aweay, becuase he is trying to cheat you. Will join class actgion suit. Let me know where and when.

I bought my car 3-29-09. At 4,000 mi. I began having problems. At 57,059 mi. 4-9-13 was the 18th time my car has been in for svc.I'm on my 3rd Dealer (original dealership no longer svcs Suzuki's). I am having my 3rd trans installed. Can someone say "Lemon Law"?!They could not find the problem as no codes were shown by the computer. My car at one point was at the dealer for 34 days straight! At times It would not even go into gear or would just die. I have had the TCM,ECM,& Trans Range Switch replaced multiple times.Since Oct 2012 have getting an intermittent ck eng light, I was finally able to bring It in on 3-29-13 & the ECM was replaced. On 4-8-13 I was barely able to make it in to the shop as my car was stuck in 3rd gear and I was on the hwy the ck eng, light was on. It was the Trans Range Switch again! It was just replaced Oct 2012. Mon. eve. the car would stall in Neutral when in Drive, slam into gear, the ck eng light remained lit, It was stuck in 3rd gear and the newest development was that as I was driving on the hwy, the lit D (drive) by the odometer was flashing normal & then with a line through it. I got to the dealer, pulled the code & the trans needs to be replaced again! I have absolutely had it with this car and am attempting to re-instate my arbitration with them (I dropped it when the supposedly fixed the prob.last yr). 14 of 18 visits were major. Suzuki's tech explained to me that there is an engineering design flaw. My car is dangerous & I no longer want my life in Suzuki's hands. I cannot continue to drive a care that can become faulty at any time, especially when I am driving 55-65 mph on the hwy and the car gets stuck In third gear! My husband has also had the engine die on him while driv1ng.(I took a short video with my phone that shows the ck eng light on and the D flashing with a line through it. Every time that the ck eng light comes on lately, it's a new code.
Personal Information.I just filed a complaint with the NHTSA!

I live in Inez, KY! I have a 2005 Suzuki Forenze! Well, about a 6 months ago, my alternator & battery went out! Suzuki did replaced, but charged me $740! After having the battery replaced & picking up my car, I went 20 miles away from the dealership to get something to eat, went to start my car & it wouldn't start! They had replaced a "bad battery"! But that's not all! Three months after that, my power steering pump & timing belt went out! I had both replaced for $300! Today, I found out that my transmission range sensor has gone bad, & it's going to cost $150! These cars suck! Never in my life will I ever buy a POS Suzuki again!!!

I have a 2007 Forenza and it has 96,000 miles on it. Just coming back from the grocery store today and the transmission range sensor went on it for a second time. These cars suck and are pieces of crap. I guess there is a reason they stopped making them. Now I have to spend another 320 bucks to get it fixed. I am so sick of spending money on this car. Suzuki should issue a recall.
