This was one of the worst places that I have ever been employed at. I agree with everyone above. The supervisors are assholes. This place is so strict. This was the only job available at the time. Their turnover rate is horrible. Their HR department are a bunch of morons. Their training department was actually pretty decent, though. Training did not prepare me for the actual job though.
If you're looking for call center work, I would recommend searching for "virtual call centers". They do exist (I work for one!) I get to troubleshoot internet in my pajamas!
The Muscle Shoals Call Center has an extremely low turnover rate. You'll be lucky to get a job there. It's a great place to work, and the management team always has events for the employees. While working there, you'll see a lot of people sitting in nice cubicles reading books and knitting while waiting on a call to come in. People who get terminated from the Call Center are losers and couldn't keep a job anywhere. Attendance is the major reason people get fired.......you lay out of work for 40 hrs and yes you'll get fired; and no the HR team will not let you slide on that..... Try finding a place that will.

Hello,I would love to work at the Walgreen's call center. I have a strong background in customer service but I haven't seen any listings of openings lately. If anyone happens to work there, do you know of any openings? I recently moved back here from Florida after ten years, I would be grateful for any information or help.
Thank you.....
Walgreens just announced they will be hiring 350 people in the Shoals Alabama area.

Take it from me, stay away from the Walgreens call center in Muscle Shoals, AL. I recently applied for a manager position there and was called to come into the office to take a test, which I did. To make a long story short, I never got my test results and was told that interviews for the position that I had applied for were not being conducting on that day and that I would hear something within the next 48 hours. Before I could get home, I had gotten an email message that Walgreens managers were not going to consider me, and they did not provide any reasoning for not considering me. I cannot believe any company could be so prejudiced. It is a disgrace to come into contact with such empty people. I will never shop at any Walgreens store again. I will tell all of my family and friends about my horrible experience with Walgreens call center. >:-(

I have worked for the Walgreens Customer Care Center for over 7 years and I love my job. I mean really how many jobs can you get where you get paid to sit on your butt and talk on the phone. I have never had any problems getting off if it was something needed or issues with supes. I do agree it is not for everyone

The policy of W. C. C. C in Muscle Shoals, Al . are not followed in the least !!! If you get a break or lunch during training count yourself lucky !!! Although the Al. law clearly states what is acceptable ... During " training " feel free to do just as you please ... Want to get your hair done ... no problem ... the trainer will even do it for you ... not to mention learning is hard to do when fellow classmates talk so loudly about their weekend rendezvous ... the so called issue resolvers have the smartest mouths and resolve absolutely nothing !!!! And when you hire in they ask what schedule you want but they fail to tell you that mandatory shift bids are held and your shift will be chosen by rank ... so thank you " Corner of Not so Happy & Unreliable " ... Deceptive ... also overtime is mandatory however its so much overtime that by the time taxes come out hell you have paid them to work ... Fantastic !!!

I got a call to come in for an interview and was glad to see a recent post on here. I have a few questions I was wondering if you/someone could answer. How was the interview? Is the job its self hard? How are the people and the environment? If you don't mind me asking, what is the average pay and how good are the benifits? I'm trying to find out if it's worth it or not.

YAY once again W. C. C. C in the Shoals has proven their self to be such an undesirable place to work !!! I was under the impression that once you graduate and began working you should no longer be treated as a child ... How do you praise someone for doing a great job one day and then all of a sudden your work just isn't up to par ?!?! I mean seriously ... make up your mind !!! Here is a little note to W. C. C. C .... TRAIN PEOPLE TO DO THEIR JOBS AND TREAT EVERYONE EQUALLY !!!! Stop focusing on buying out all the small town pharmacies etc and focus more on people skills !!! When promoting someone to supervisor make sure they have enough common sense to speak to an adult in the same way they wish to be spoken to !!! Everyone starts out on the same level ... either someone doesn't know that or maybe they need a reminder !!! Touch only what belongs to you ESPECIALLY FOOD !!! Dig in your own desk !!! Being a supervisor DOES NOT give you a search warrant ... If something is being done wrong simply explain the correct way to accomplish the task at hand !!! Also just because your full name isn't displayed doesn't mean I am unaware of the person I'm speaking to ... Afterall a High School Diploma or Equivalent is required to work here ... so 2 + 2 will always = 4 !!! Holy and sanctified in the church but rude and cold in the " 9-5 " workplace ... so sad ...

Supervisor wrote:
Walgreens Call Center in Muscle Shoals is not that bad. The pay is up to par for the area, and management and the HR department will work with you within reason. It's not a bad place to work for, and you can really learn valuable skills you can take with you for the rest of your life. However, it is not for everyone. It takes dedication, compassion, and a whole lot of thick skin when you get a call from someone who is having a frustrating experience with our company. We have a "strict" attendance policy that allows you to accumulated up to 40 unexcused hours before you are terminated (this usually resets every 2 years). This is on top of 6 sick days for every year worked plus vacation time. You can apply for FMLA and Leave of Abscence as well. Take what you want from it, but most people who have been there for a while are relatively happy with their job.
I can't believe that you SUPERVISOR refuse to be honest in a completely anonymous forum !!! Just be honest for once ... because honesty is the best policy ... while you give that a try maybe I can stop shaking my head in disgust. How can a company really be so inconsiderate of true tragedy that ones self can't control ... the one and only thing W. C. C. C cares about is W. C. C. C !!! LIFE HAPPENS ... let's just hope your not an employee at this company when it does !!! And as far as attendance goes , why schedule " mandatory overtime " but then pass out VTO's like candy ??? Don't you people realize people have lives to live outside of trying to make a living ... when you are present every day your regularly scheduled no big deal ... that's called WORKING ... but 10 - 12 hours ot every other week is called slavery !!!

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Gemini

Beware wishful thinking because it will cloud your thoughts and lead to confusion. However, that's much easier said than done, because today you're showing distinct tendencies towards living in a rosy world of your own and ignoring any hard facts that are under your nose. Take care that you don't allow someone to dupe you simply because you aren't paying attention to what they're saying or doing.
