I'm glad he'll be going to an Akita Rescue group and getting the proper training he needs for his next home. NO DOG belongs in a Lowe's store... that's for sure! WHAT was the owner thinking?!?!!?

this "rescue" organization is a fraud. their policy, found on their website, is, "IF YOUR DOG HAS BITTEN A PERSON AND HAS AN ACTIVE BITE REPORT OR CASE WITH ANIMAL CONTROL WE ABSOLUTELY CANNOT AND WILL NOT TAKE YOUR DOG!" Their charity status, according to the ca dept of justice registry, has been delinquent since 2009. my own personal experience with this group, is that they do not follow the mandates for vicious dogs- which chester obviously is. the new owner will NOT be informed.
