Murrieta Police misconduct

Yeah, I agree. If I were an officer, I'd find little reasons to justifiably pull people over. It happens so often that someone is pulled over for something like not using a turn signal and it turns out they have a warrant out for them or they've got something they shouldn't, like weapons or drugs. I would probably never actually give tickets if the person is clean, but just to run their name and make sure they're not doing something wrong it'd be ok. Even if it's a waste of their time, that's just part of the job. Cooperate, stay calm and it'll only take a few minutes out of your day.

That being said, there are a lot of officers out there that do just like messing with people. Those ones are a-holes.

My problem with the Murrieta is that they dont go out of their way to find the scum bags. There are plenty there.

Murrieta vs Temecula

Murrieta, CA

I work nights (6pm-4am) that requires me to drive around the City of Murrieta, and doing this for over 6months, I have yet to get stopped.
I would have to say Murrieta being the 2nd safest city in the nation, the police need to be pro-active.
Now if you want to take a look at Temecula who has more officers on-duty then Murrieta, you can find them hanging out at the AMPM at Yenez X Rancho Cal... or at the Old Town Store Front... and are too busy "typing reports" to respond to calls or patrol.

Afraid of Murrieta Cops

Westminster, CA

#52 Jan 27, 2010
Our family (including my young children) has seen numerous Murrieta police officers behave badly. My children are afraid of the Murrieta police and I am sure that this is just how the police would like it to be. The Murrieta Police Department brags about Murrieta being a safe city as though it is because of something they have done. Give me a break! This city is safe because of the citizens that live here. And because the majority of Murrieta's citizens are law abiding, the police go looking for trouble. After all, if they didn't find any crime to fight, what would happen to their jobs?
I don't think the Keystone Cops of Murrieta could fight real crime if it bit them in the butt.
I am not a liberal. I am a conservative that does not like the fact that the local law enforcement agency uses the methods of fear and force to keep law abiding citizens in their place.

I have been living here 10 years and she has been here longer than me. When she complains, the police ignore her. Yet, when the low-lifes living around her harrass her and cause trouble the police are taking their side. Case in point...she was just arrested because the low-lifes that used to live next to her were losing their house and let other low-lifes across the street move into their house facing foreclosure. She was trying to take care of her yard and had the trees trimmed that were hanging over her property. Someone called code enforcement. Code enforecement came and got into a verbal confrontation with her because she was just exercising her rights put forth in the Cal Oaks Homeowners code. Code enforcement called the police who told her they were tired of messing with her. They literally threw her on the ground, cuffed her, and put her in their patrol car with the windows rolled up on a 100 degree day and left her there for 45 minutes. Mind you, this was a 60+ year old, tax paying citizen, not a low-life, good for nothing illegal. She has bruises to prove it. I could go on an on about how she was treated that day, but, I don't have the time. Think you can top that?
I am interested in knowing how this woman is doing. That is if she hasn't been harassed to death, committed for research, arrested or disappeared. I believe she is/was a target of community harassment/gangstalking. The police do little to help a person when a "contract" has been placed on a target. These groups always target helpless and usually law-abiding citizens. They receive money through grants in the community. Sociopaths are usually chosen to do the dirty deeds. They have no conscience and do not care who they destroy just as long as their greeds are met. Their best trait is lying. May God help her.

I wonder if this sociopath is someone we know. This person says they move but might still be in the area harassing people.

Common Sense not Common

Okay, really, why do you think you were searched? Let me name the possible reasons, and I wasn't even there:

- You or your passengers are on probation or parole and/or look like you might have discharged your number recently.

- You were evasive with your answers to simple questions, or changed your stories often. Cop: "Have you been arrested before?" You: "Uh, I don't think so, what do you mean"

- You were driving in areas where there have been recent crimes with suspect vehicle or suspect descriptions that fit yours. Cops catch bad guys by looking for them, I know it's hard to beleive.

- You had contraband in plain view in your vehicle, or paraphernalia of same. Left you meth pipe on the floor board.

- Your obvious attitude came off as somone who has had frequent negative contacts with law enforcement, indicating you are often targeted as somone who is up to no good or ARE up to no good. Why do you think that is?

- I could go on but I wont.

I think what needs to happen is you need to try and figure out why you are being searched and investigated. You are not being stopped by officers who have never seen a criminal. Officers know what to look for and would not waste their time if there was no way you were a criminal.

Cops put bad guys in jail, they get nothing out of stopping and searching people who they think have nothing to find. Let's use some not-so-common sense here.

It may help to look at it like this: When you are at work, do you do your best to meet or exceed your employer's expectations? I think most employees worth anything do. Cops have to make arrests to meet the expectations of thier citizens and supervisors, what are they getting paid for otherwise?

BOTTOM LINE...You are stopped and searched because you appear to be a criminal, CHANGE THAT and you will be fine!

Having recently been a victim of the city of Murrieta Police dept. misconduct incluidng excessive use of force, battery, etc. I am trying to find other victims who have been subjected to police misconduct by any member of the Murrieta Police det. please e-mail your specific experience to me at [email protected] ahoo.com. Please be as specific as possible including dates, names of officers or badge numbers, etc.
There is a motion you may file specifically to obtain a police officers record while a work, and under the same motion you can supeana all records, I dont know what the name of it is, it seems to me it is a persons name that begins with an M.

I am the victim of police misconuct at Craftn Hill college in yucaipa ca. An Officer, a real creepy man named Rubin Galvan who looks like an ungly version of james edward amos, actually wrote up a completely falsified police report, manufacturing words and puttng them into the mouths of people he did speak with but who said nothing incrimminating about me and so he did that himself.

I was fortunate because I distributed flyers at the school telling students that they are at risk from this cop and on of the people he put words into her mouth found one and went to me webpage and then began emailing me contradicting everything he wrote.

Police are not cool, nor are they good for society, just because we are surrounded by scum does not make cops good people.

We all need the ability to fend more for ourselves and we need to be more proacive in proteting ourselves from the crimminal scum so that we do not need to call these scumbag cops out help us do nothing but make worthless reports they never solve anyways.

I do not agree, I have personally wittnessed abuse, and my son, who is a generally mild person was in the wrong place and time with other 18yr olds, was arrested and treated very bad, officers would not tell him their names, they said, joe... joe mama, and repeatedly used profanity, once in the police car with handcuffs on, the officer would speed up quickly and slam on the brakes, throwing my son into the plexiglass divider, i have lived in murrieta for 18yrs the last 5 yrs have sucked bad as far as the police, they suck, they continually speed for no reason, I almost got hit by one, they are constantly on their own personal cell phones while driving, about 8 out of 10 that I talk to has some sort of bad story to tell about the police, sorry just the way i see it, its to bad i have always told my kids that police are the good guys, but these guys scare and piss me off!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Concerned Citizen,
I live in the city of Murrieta and I am very proud of the police department that patrols our city. I have lived in other cities in the past that were patroled by the Sheriffs Department and got less than superior service. Im not sending this to get into a fight with you, however, I am sending this to you to let you know the Murrieta Police Deparment is a proactive department that wants to keep the city neat and clean, free from knuckleheads. In regards to your "incident", there is a process in which you can file a complaint and have the issue addressed by his/her superiors... as I see it and based on the lack of responses you got on this site, it appears you may be the only one who is claiming this alleged "abuse"... good luck in your endeavor.

The only way people can objectively consider your situation is to know exactly what the "wrong place and time with other 18yr olds" is, that one could be the deal breaker, and I am sorry to point out you admitted those details from your post.
