As embarrassing as he is, I would have to agree with him on this particular issue.

This is an issue that should should be of concern to all Americans regardless of political affiliation. This is not a left issue or a right issue but an issue that all Americans should stand up for. My personal view is that anyone that doesn't stand with Senator Paul on this issue due to his politics is a hypocrite if they ever protested GW Bush for the patriot act.

As a rule those that receive some type of entitlement from good ole “uncle sugar” will continue to support Obama’s and the Liberal causes. These individuals are solely dependent on either the direct or indirect government handouts regardless of their individual social or economic standing within there community. When someone of Rand Paul’s character and intellect standup and question the liberal viewpoint the “libs” flail about like fresh caught salmon crying fowl.

For example if you get an opportunity research what the taxpayers have doled out to the local farmers just in Calloway County over the past 10 years? Millions of dollars have been given to them because of this or that. Ask yourself if you owned a private business and you had a bad year is “uncle sugar” going to give you money to cover your losses? I think not! This is just one example of why we have professional “politicians for life” in office that are worthless. Another small bit of information; the Judge Executive, Jailer, and Sheriffs salaries are ridicules for this size community. However; they are mandated by our state legislature at a minimum level?($85,000 or more for each of them) Hazel is the only one of the three with a post high school education.

We need more Rand Paul’s to do the right thing and fix the waste in government.

When someone questions the conservative point of view the "cons" accuse them of being dependent on the government, hating America, trying to destroy families, or working for George Soros. That may not be "flailing about like fresh caught salmon crying fowl", but it ain't exactly leading by example either.

Well friend I am a democrat and I can see with my own eyes how the establishment has and continues to operate. Keep the “Indians liquored up” with those entitlements on the reservation so the politicians can continue to get reelected to office making policy for there million friends who donate to there political action committees (PACs). Our system is just a vicious cycle of dependency on the taxpayer which won’t change until we have a man-made or natural disaster on a scale of cataclysmic proportion in our country.

Oh my, whatcha gettin' your panties in such a wad about? Surely you don't think they're going to use those lethal drones on anyone except bad guys? It's going to be, you know, like the War on Drugs. Surely you don't think the Drug Warriors ever made a mistake and killed an innocent person???
sarcasm off
Rand Paul made me proud that I voted for him. He stood up and declared what any person with IQ above his shoe size knows---this is unconstitutional and anyone who says different needs to be tried for murder, convicted and hung in the public square. Without the due process outlined in the constitution it is murder and the president's hands are covered in the blood of the innocents he has killed. Eric Holder is nothing but a Chicago-style thug. Lindsey GrahamCracker and John McCan't need to go away somewhere for a long rest in a padded room.

Everybody is bent out of shape over the fact that the President refused to say categorically that he would not order a drone strike to kill American citizens. Far as it goes, OK. But think about this: Suppose a group of home grown terrorists, Islamists or otherwise, American citizens all, stage a major terrorist attack on American soil. Would not the President be right to order the military to use every weapon at its disposal, including drone strikes, to defend the victims of that attack? If Rand Paul's argument is accepted, the President would not have that option, not drones, conventional air, or, if you take it to its logical conclusion, he could not even order an infantryman with a bayonet to stab them in hand-to-hand combat.

Rand Paul is an idiot, and anybody that votes for him is a bigger idiot.

Actually you've been misinformed. Mr. Paul specifically said that if there was an imminent threat to our security, as in a bomb strapped to a terrorist or a shoulder fired rocket launcher, then yes, the President has the right to strike. Rand Paul was referring to a NON COMBATANT situation were a suspected US citizen was drinking coffee at a cafe and they call in a drone strike. Then the correct course would be to arrest him and due process given. If Rand Paul is an idiot for simply looking out for our constitutional rights then I guess I'm an idiot too.

Wouldn't think the POTUS would need any extra help dealing with the situation you're talking about. He still has Janet Reno and the ATF. Just look at how well they took care of innocent women and children in Waco Tx and the Weaver family in Idaho a few years ago. I guess you're saying that instant death from a hellfire missile should be constitutional and would have eased their suffering. For the original topic, I am also proud of Rand Paul.
