what happened to the first amendment. I know that slander is an issue but if your documents are public domain and you're a public figure this shouldn't be an issue

I must admit it stayed up much longer than I expected. They question that begs now is who had it pulled?? Was it some of the local officials, other business people, or some of the organizations that benefited from the dirty money trying to make it all go away?

I just saw the memo chuck jones sent to his employees. It read...dear valued employee...I guess his technical abilities are limited, can't even do a simple mail merge to make it personal...then it says-we have been served with a lawsuit....I bet his employees are going.."what dis we shit....then it says bla..bla ..bla, then it says "one of our investors" and I have a difference of option" So OH my gosh..is he saying he has more investors..who?

The first amendment protects against government censorship but the owners of the site can delete anything they wish.

Agreed. But why would the owners of this site "voluntarily" pull down this thread without some outside influence. I'm guessing someone threatened the site with a slander lawsuit based on some of the comments. I have no knowledge of this and it's purely based on an instinct. I probably am completely wrong but WHY would they if there wasn't some type of threatened lawsuit? It goes back to my argument that the information is available legally through public documents and the only reason a thread would be deleted is through legal action. What should have happened is the slanderous post should have been deleted rather than the entire thread. Let the flaming begin.

I'm sure chuck jones had one of his attorneys send an email or letter to them to stop the "madness". Like the guy or not, if you have something to say have the balls to use your real name. I have been the target of.these rants, having been accused of everything from dealing drugs to mafia connection. Really?? My personal dealings with Chuck Jones were less than positive but as for anyone else gloating over the suffering of others that's fair game if, and only if, you do it with integrity. Or how bout this... Just use the screen name "Petty Gossiping Piece of Shit With a Free Smart Phone" At least we can all file your dribble under "Blah,Blah,Blah"

All you have to do is report the post and the web site then determines rather to take down or not. A lot of post have been removed from this site.

Im not concerned with what happens to Chuck Jones, What I'm concerned with is the hundreds of families that could potentially lose their income if this mans greed brings down this company. There is a concept of an ethical businessman and when one person values his exorbitant lifestyle at the risk of keeping his staff employed, I have a major problem with that.

Agreed. Not arguing that point. I have a major problem with the mean sprited posts that serve only to harm and taunt. If you feel strongly enough to take your time to respond, then either make a valid point or have the guts to put your name on your hurtful remarks. Kindness and civility should rule a public forum. That's not to say all comments should be positive but at least express your disdain with facts, candor, and respect.
