It will never get to year 2. Webasto left because they couldn't hire a competent workforce. Their choices were quite grim. Germans like to run an efficient, streamlined operation. That's something that's completely foreign to the average American worker. They're fat, lazy and pretty pathetic. They also like to hire people who are fairly educated. They're not going to find that here. The pickins are gonna be slim. Now, if they want to hire a bunch of smelly, toothless, drunk, meth head rednecks, they've definitely come to the right place.
Webasto left do to Obama distroying the auto industry out side of Detroit. this plant will coust the tax paiers $53,333.00 per job! we built the building for a cost of 2.5 mill devide that by 75. What a deal!!

Webasto left because gas went to $4.00 and people quit buying Suburbans. Murray has a really good work force. Ask Briggs.

Be better informed of the facts - Webasto fell on hardtimes due to a huge economic slowdown in the auto industry. They had to close a plant and chose Murray more for political reasons within the company. This cost them dearly due to the economic incentives they received to locate here.
The plant sits empty until a tenant is found that will employ a decent number of people is found.

In the Murray plant they made the entire roof system for Suburbans. When gas went to $4.00 per gallon in 2009 GM drastically reduced prices on Suburbans to reduce inventory and then virtually ceased production. No production - no factory. There were also management issues that added to the closure.
Not one sunroof was made in Murray.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about but I am sure that has never stopped you before. "We" did not build the building for a cost of $2.5 million or any other cost. The plant was built with private money and was bought with private money when it closed. If you are going to muckrake at least try to get your facts straight.

I had a sunroof when i was younger. One time these girls raced up on us and my friend hung out the sunroof, he wrote our phone number on a piece of cardboard. they called us, we banged them, what happened to cardboard? Cell phones prevent our youth from doing things right.

Typically most manufacturing industries search for a region that fits them and any incentives that can be negotiated with the local governing body. I would have to agree with some of the individuals posts asking why a skilled organization that demands such a high degree of efficiency would move to Murray. Some would argue that “oh we have Murray State” and those highly educated graduates. Ok I won’t go there because it’s just to daunting of a task to explain. However; Bubba and Bubbaline fit in well a Briggs and other similar industries because they can place the round peg in the round hole.

This organization might last 2 or 3 years if they are very lucky. In my opinion some of what management may encounter is employees calling in sick due to hangovers or some other lame excuse for example I must return home I left the Bunsen burner lit at the trailer while working on my Meth product. In addition to failing drug tests, and insubordination that might bring some concern to management.

However; I could be totally incorrect in my assumptions and Bubba and Bubbaline may just save the day and the organization will be a success!:)
