Listen, you guys can go on and on about who cares and it wont change a thing on topix. You are right. But I can assure you that fraud across state lines in this magnitude is a serious offense. One set of lawyers will be representing the people of the United States and they will have an open and shut case. No pun intended.
Someone said what will we have to talk about then. The way things are going with all these big shots in Murray. Dont see a shortage anytime soon. Look up the federal statute on copyright infringement
and credit card fraud. Chuck should make a deal. They are much harder on people that fight it.

You're not helping the prosecution and you're not helping the defense. When this is all over and the dust has settled those who are named in the lawsuits will have payed what they owed in the eyes of the law and will be square with the house again. What to talk about then? How you disagree with the verdict or punishment? I doubt any judge in New York or anywhere is going to listen to closing arguments from both sets of lawyers and then say "I'd like to hear what the Topix contingent has to say on the matter." People on here are certainly entitled to their opinions. And discussion about the issues of the day are definetly important, but the people on here (no matter what side they are on) are starting to remind me of what Ty Cobb said about sports writers: "They all think they're going to write the great American novel, but all they're gonna do is piss and moan and write horrible little leads about highschool football games."
Wow - instant nominee for "Best Long-Form Sanctimony". Well done.(applause)

Meanwhile, those who have been following this saga since at least early March should be able to remember that any time a mention of malfeasance at the book companies popped up - sometimes even a direct reference to using dremels on books - that Topix thread would almost immediately disappear. Funny how that worked out. Right there in our faces the whole time.

But please, NUK...regale us again with your ability to include every logical fallacy known to man into a single, run-on paragraph. LOL

Chuck will have some kind of party. He needs an audience to speak to. He will make a few jokes about topix, quote from online business article, deny the depth of wrong doing and speak of new progress with new opportunities. He needs the "floor" to beat his chest, he needs a party... Because he needs an audience. That's a con. Question is... Who will attend? Most people are separating from him now. He has nothing to offer but trouble.

I seldom read Topix, but I must admit curiosity born of a discussion with an old friend has driven me to lower my standards and take a gander at this "forum" from the place I called home for 4 years as a university student.
I am ashamed to say I ever lived in the Murray area! All I have seen here is ignorance born of jealously, often misspelled, poorly expressed, and even more often, from what I have gleaned from the court documents, completely non-factual. Nuk hit the nail on the head. When all this is said and done no one will care about the"expert" opinions you people have. And not just the opinions you have about Chuck Jones, but those you so bravely voice from behind fake names about a variety of people and situations. Like Nuk, I suggest that every one of you make a trip to see the people you've so bravely attacked and tell them face to face how you feel. In fact, I dare you. Today would be as good a day as any, so get off your asses and crank up your car. I'm sure they're not hard to find, after all you all seem to know a lot about them!
That said, this site need to be closed down, it's owners made to take responsibility for preying on the ignorant, uneducated masses who populate this message board with fallacies and slander. Unfortunately, for the time being, they are protected by internet law. I believe I will live to see a time when this changes and you poor people who post here because you have nothing else better to do will be released from your misery to take on some other cause. it is amazing you don't see how victimized you are as you attempt to hurt others in your community. Don't you realize that you are being used?

Whoa there pardner! So you say that Chuck Jones never made fraudulent copies of book covers. And everything on Topix is bs.
And you went to Murray State and are ashamed of that? Great. You need to crawl back in your internet law world and realize that you have absolutely nothing to do with the thousands and I mean thousands of people that were hurt by Chuck and his scams. You are either in his inner circle or dumber than a fu cn box of rox to think we are wrong. Since this is your "first" visit since msu provided your education, why dont you visit back in a few months, since the wheels of justice turn slowly, and see how "smart" you are. We will not be waiting for your next post. By the way, Fat Boy
and his buddies will not show their face in any other place in Murray now except the ones they still own. Which is very few. Go
crawl back in your little hole. Sure hope you have paid back your student loan. Hope we arent paying that loan for you. Go Racers.

I have told him to his face, I have an education from MSU and my spelling is a bit off at times, but you son, are still here probably unemployed, single and visit topix all the time. So although your words are so creative, I will assume you probably live in a smaller town than Murray, your own little world of make belief. Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite

Looks like you got me! Just proved my point about the plight of the ignorant buying into a forum like this. My sympathies for being manipulated by a media company that takes no responsibility for it's content. And, by the way, congratulations, Pinwheel, on your degree. A college graduate is too valuable to be wasted here, I had assumed that the majority of Topix users were desperate, uneducated individuals with nothing better to do. Thank you for disproving my theory. Ignorance is apparently "diploma blind."
