The website says Mike Johnson, but I don't know if that's the new one or the old one.

Yes the job has been posted on the calloway county website. For only being required to have a GED it sure does pay well and come with alot of responsibility. I wonder if they are shaping the duties description around an individual who they have alreay selected? Hmmmmmm!

I thought one of Kentucky's motto's regarding obtaining higher levels of education is, "Education Pays?" Must have missed that one!

Hey June, you know how things are done here! Why don't you just stop at the Weaks center and play cards with your blue haired friends and leave the business of who gets hired to us? The Crony club.

I read the job description on the Calloway County Schools website:

1. High school diploma GED Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a GED as required by Kentucky law.

2. Two years experience in general automotive repair.

My son is a junior who is working on his High School diploma, and has two years experience in general automotive repair working VO-TEC. Does this mean he is qualified to apply for the job?

This does not surprise me in the least, I bet they have someone already indentified for the position. What would really be interesting is who has applied and not concidered? "Education Pays"

It seems like this local yocal is a little to much into what the board of education is doing or how they are doing it. Who cares who they hire. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to do the job.

Yeah you are correct Pink it doesn’t take much to operate a million dollar annual budget, supervise 50 plus personnel, and be responsible for the maintenance and repair of 60 school buses and their associated equipment. Additionally, ensuring over a thousand students are transported to and from school in a safe and efficient manner. Who would have thought that would require any education or experience?????????
