You think welfare is a reward for failure?! You must be old, no college education, and lucky to have the job/life you had. I'm 25 years old, a semester away from having my Masters degree and I get food stamps AND medicaid for my two children. I'm a single mom, and I bring home roughly $1,500 a month because I can only work so much to provide for my girls. Why am I a single mom? Because their dad was a failure and I wouldn't live the rest of my life with someone who would never become more, knowing I could provide for them on my own. News flash! I get less now, as a single mom with my two children, than I did when I was supporting his low life. So, am I still a failure? I graduated from college 4 1/2 years after high school, well before most people I graduated high school with. Am I still a failure? I pay all my bills, I don't get assistance from anybody, and both of my children are well ahead of their age group in all aspects. Still a failure? You're ignorant. Do a little more research on the topic, talk to more people that ARE struggling because they're trying to make it better for their children or their FAMILY but have to go to school to do so. Go start over in this world today, not the world you knew 20 years ago. You wouldn't be as successful, I guarantee you that!
Why does that make it my falt? I meen why do I have to pay for it? I worked my way through school.

Benjamin Franklin did not say that. Or Thomas Jefferson. Or Abraham Lincoln. Or Norman Rockwell.

It was Dr. Adrian Pierce Rogers, circa 1984.

The series of essays called "The Busy-Body," which he wrote for Bradford’s American Mercury in 1729, followed the general Addisonian form The brilliant little pieces Franklin wrote for his Pennsylvania Gazette

Hey, you actually got that one right! You guys usually want to claim Thomas Jefferson or Barry Goldwater for that one. Gerald Ford don't get no respect.

I don't see how copying an unrelated quote from Wikipedia is going to make Ben Franklin rise from the grave and plagiarize a guy who was living in 1984.
