I can see Obama sitting in his office right now...
"Mr. President, any plan on the impending war with Iran and North Korea?"
"No Time! There seems to be a hospital In Murray Kentucky that seemed to be doing great with no problems at all. I need to concentrate on getting people layed off there ASAP!"

The problems at MCCH are with budget, freeloaders, and documentation neglect. If you truly believe Obama is out to get us please go out into your trailer park and take some deep breaths and reflect.

Obama's intention is to destroy ALL independent healthcare and put it all control of the government. It's called Socialism - look it up. Better yet, move to Europe and enjoy it with 75% tax rate. My Aunt lives in a socialist country and she had hip surgery. They made an error, severed a nerve and she can't walk know with a leg brace. It was medical error, but she has no right to a malpractice suit because the doctor is a state employee! That's one reason they have such great "results" compared to the American system - because hospitals and doctors over there are not held accountable for their errors, so who knows how well they really do?

Probably best not to bring up malpractice suits, if you are defending MCCH.

First off, I am sorry for the people that are losing their jobs. In my opinion, the health care and pharma companies are going to burst their own bubble. Reason being the extreme overpricing. If you need to have insurance to pay for a physical service of any kind, that service is too expensive in my opinion. Example, say someone grossing 25k a year, which would be around 500 a week, by the way, that would probably be better than average in this area, they would have to work 40 years to gross a million dollars. The average specialist earns around 500k a year. That's about a 20 to 1 pay ratio. Are they really worth it? Depends on how much you value your life. Could they work for less money? Affordable health care is an impossibility when no one can afford it. It looks like it's getting to that point for everyone, the government included.

Oh, I see now that I'm wrong. I didn't know that Europe being a large collection of extremely different countries had the same government and "75%" tax rate. You're aunt is obviously as dumb as you are. She can't even walk right without breaking her hip.

It shouldn't cost 6000 dollars for a CT Scan, or 9000 dollars for a piece of mesh. They get bone grafts from cadavers, then charge the patient 10,000 dollars for a tablespoon of the graft. This is where the problem is, as well as the pharmaceutical companies. It is only going to get worse because the greedy people control the country! I'm sure Donald Trump isn't worried about paying for a hip replacement.

Many of the advancements that we have in healthcare take millions and millions of dollars and many years of education and debt to invent - Every citizen has other options
1) don't use the CT Scan - not required to use it
2) invest millions of dollars and many years obtaining education and invent your own if you want to use one

When the CEO came to Murray he said big changes were going to be made. He was going to evaluate positions and do away with the ones that were unnecessary! Yes, we all saw him strolling the halls 2 or 3 times a day at first but it was very short lived. If he really wanted to help get MCCH out of some of the debt they are in, he should take a closer look at the useless department heads, especially the ones on 4th and 5th floor. They are really useless!!!!

They have over spent (The board).$1,000,000 for the Miller property, new parking paving on east side of eight street. Then they build upon the new lot before the asphalt was dry. Then took all the rooms of the old hospital made offices. When they had taken all the rooms we needed a new hospital. NICE GOING BOARD.

You have forgotten about all the new office space on the 3 and 4 floor old bldg. Then they needed to hire more paper pushers for those office space. The again all the room not turned into office are now stuffed with Cra_ for storage who know what.. There is so much in storage that coluld be sold off while it still has any value. Get rid of it before it turns into garbage..

I have just been informed that one of the upper managment has handed in there papers. This should be very interesting to follow and see what they do about the empty position, this position needs to be filled by a qualified person. Now will it be by someone who already is and employee of the MCCH or will they, the cheifs in charge, or will they look outside .. I would think by their record it will be by someone outside and at a substantal salary..

I have watched our Board hire CEO, that did not care about our needs. They wanted to help themselves and there friends. A big expense is the high salaries they pay the Doctors. They should work for their own keep.

It is a shame we can,t find another Poston.

It’s elementary economics my dear; when you cant maintain your standard of living i.e. new car, huge house, lavish vacations you MUST reduce payroll. This is how it’s done, instead of taking a 5% or 10% salary reduction at the highest paid positions in the food chain those in charge provide us of an example of how the piranha lead.
