The owner of the Draffenville and Murray Subway's told her employees that they will NOT honor the corporate policy of honoring our veterans with a meal deal. She stated that "we" (Americans) were killing her people and she would not be a part of the corporate directive. She don't like our veterans? Well maybe we need to show her she don't deserve our support either. It took me 3 days to confirm this before posting as I hear a lot of things but only post what I can confirm. I don't know exactly how many she owns but will try to find out. I only know of those two in our area so far. I will never eat at either of those Subway's again. Please join me in showing her WE DO appreciate our veterans and will not support anyone who does not support them.

I'm not eating another Subway and I usually do eat lunch from there! I hope EVERYONE stops going there and complains to the news people too. I'm calling channel 6 myself right now.

I did just email News Channel Six for a news tip. It's easy to do if anyone would also like to do it. They will check it out. Also, contact Subway corporate offices the same way.

Its true! I called the one in Murray and asked an employee and she confirmed it. WPSD has been informed by a couple people that I know of. The employee also said someone had called the corporate office.

I work there and none of the stuff being said about her is true! she never said none of the stuff. One of the unhappy disgruntled employees who worked there started this about her and there we are. SHE NEVER SAID NONE OF THE STUFF!
before you jump into any conclusions, get your facts straight! First off , I went to Subway website and there is NO free subs being offered because of the big chunck of money that they donated to the veterans. Second they are giving away free 6" subs to any veterans with a military ID today! be fair guys. I like working there. It pays for my school!!!! she is not a bad employer at all,she pays me more than any other employment in the past. she's been here more than half of her life. Be a good Christian and stop bad mouthing her because of some disgruntled incompetent ex employee who didn't get things her way and broke every rule there was!!!! BE FAIR!

she is selling anyway and she has been under investigation for a long time I think she is getting out out because she is scared of what will happen to her revenue when Murray learns the truth

According to channel 6, this is totally false. Apparently someone trying to cause trouble. As usual, the majority of folks in this area believe everything they read, instead of looking for the facts. Pitiful...

They gave money to the Wounded Warriors Project. That's what corporate Subway suggested all franchises do this year. It never said on their websites or Facebook pages they were giving away anything. It wasn't just Murray and Draffenville not giving away free food, it was most of them. If you're supposed to boycott Subway just because they didn't give away free food to veterans, wouldn't you also need to boycott every other restaurant or place of business that didn't give away anything ?

Afterall she is trying to sell her franchises that is if she can get them compliant . At least that is what I heard from someone who works there. She supposedly has a backup buyer if the first deal falls through.. I doubt she cares about anyone in Murray not just the vets or our military. but what does everyone expect

I worked at a local business for many years that was owned and operated by a vet. We never offered any type of military discount. Some people complained. But the fact is, while their sacrifices were/are deserving of our thanks and praise they did get paid for it. If I were a vet I think I'd rather have a handshake and heartfelt "Thank You" from someone rather some discounted or free crap. That actually requires someone to go out of their way.

Actually this is not true!!! Subway Corp. wanted their Owners to give the the Wounded Soliders Fund, and If they wanted to do the Other it was optional. She gave to the Wounded Soliders Fund. She in fact can not EVEN go back to her country. She has been banned.
really?

Would you honor a ex soldier that got kicked out?
How would you know not to? Card them for military ID's.

There are better ways to honor veterans, better than giving them free sandwichs. Woohoo here is a free sandwich for all your hard work :/ Glad Subway didn't do it.
