What next from that socialist, communist Kenyan from Chicago? We were warned of this. How low will gas go?$2.50?$1.99? We all know who's to blame. It's time for the common people to revolt and demand decent gas prices (Something higher than $3.50)

I know what you are saying... people would blame Obama if gas went to $1.00 per gal. or less.

I say 4 more years of Obama... Obama in 2012.

Gas was over $4.00 in 2005, then it dropped into the $2.60 range in 2008, another election year. How come so few people are willing to admit even the possibility that BOTH PARTIES SUCK?

Gas was $1.29 when he took office. When it gets back there he can have some credit.

It's bad when people blame one man (our president) for something like high gas prices. It's even worse when someone applauds him when the prices go down.

It's obvious why this country is going down the crapper: nobody understands neither economics nor government yet we let the armchair professors go vote.

You do realize its election year and it will not remain that way very long??????

I do understand the market forces involved. I'm just pointing out that this same trend occurred 4 years ago. People, in general, are Democratic or Republican for the same reason they are Baptist or Methodist. Blind faith. And they'll fight to the death defending their beliefs. I'm just saying there's plenty of incompetence and corruption to spead fairly evenly over both parties .

The last time the national average gasoline price was $1.29 or below was March 18, 2002.

About the gas prices? No. Why? Do you not remember gas being well under $2/gal in late 2008?

http://66.70.86.64/ChartServer /ch.gaschart?Country=USA&C rude=f&Period=48&Areas =Louisville,,&Unit=US%20$/ G

Louisville, nov 2008 $1.45. It was even cheaper here, but they don't have data for every city.

Going by that chart however, and current data for Louisville ($3.33) and Murray ($3.16) it's easy to see that it would be less than $1.30 in Murray at the same time as it was $1.45 in Louisville.

Gas prices are dropping due to demand is low. This is bad, I know this may be hard for some to understand, but the demand is low because of smaller economies crashing. This could lead to a production cut back and the gas prices will "correct" back to around $4.00 per gallon. As long as our economy does not tank due to the global financial crisis.

Gas was around $1.90 when obama took office. NBC nightly news was running stories during the GWB administration declaring how terribly hard $2 a gallon gasoline was on the average working man. They mad a big deal of it on their newscast when the price went up even a penny. Since obama took office, those stories dried up. You are for obama, like everyone else is that is for obama, because you are in one way or another, a societal leech.

That is fiction. We all remember gas being over $4 per gallon during the Bush years. Only in the months before the election did it become cheap. Gas in the $3.50 to $4.50 is the norm these days. Anything else is temporary. Get used to it.

The fiction being spouted is from you chump. Whoops, what happened to that 2.99 a gallon? This country better wake up and get a sensible energy policy. Anyone in Kentucky voting for the dog eater is either stupid, a leech, or both.
