Jesus is the only answer to get through tragedies like today in Connecticut. We must pull together to pray for one another and the families that were touched today. This is another reason why we need to spread the Gospel and God's love. Eternity in Heaven would be so much better than eternity in Hell. God bless Murray and the United States of America!

Who did Abels parents pray to? There was no Jesus.

If there is a God (your God)... where was He when this shooting started?

The shooting is a bad thing because the parents do not get to be with their children for now. On the other hand the children are now in heaven which is much better than life on earth. We are sad because we are selfish and wan them here but we should celebrate for them. The parent should take comfort knowing that they will one day be together forever as long as they believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as their savior.

The children are dead... there is NO heaven... why would anyone think they are in a better place... they are dead and they are gone forever. And it's very sad.

There is a heaven but unless you change your ways you will be going somewhere else.

I thinks it's excessively vile for anyone to say that these children are better off dead. Over the last three days, my disgust with many self-described "christians" has soared to new heights, never thought imaginable. Mark, what about those kids that happened to be Jewish? Muslim? Buddhist? What fantasy land are they in? Here's a little food for thought, Mark: If you think Hitler was bad, the god that you worship is about 100 billion times worse. Hitler was responsible for the deaths of anywhere between 6 to 10 million men, women and children. Many of whom were then burned in ovens. The majority of them then went on to the hell you speak of, because they weren't of the "christian" faith. The god you worship, according to your ilk, claims that anyone who doesn't accept "jesus" spends eternity in a lake of fire. You can't step away from that if you're true to your twisted faith. You have to admit to us that some of those kids, for not having Christ in their life, are now in what you refer to as hell. Does that make you proud of your faith, and that manipulative psychopath that you worship at the feet of? And please, don't insult my intelligence by applying one of those go to fallacies that you people so heavily rely on when explaining away how void of logic and reason the religion so many of you practice, in fact, is. And then to have the gall to say that this happened because god was taken out of our schools, and that god does not intervene where he's not wanted. If "he" existed, I'm sure "he" could have at least thrown a bone to the christian kids. Yeah, screw those kids for not having your all knowing, compassionate overlord in their classrooms.

Mark, people like you literally make me nauseous. Anytime a tragedy like this unfolds, you fumble over yourselves in your feeble efforts to make this an issue of how your specific faith could have prevented it, if only the rest of us who happen to be sane didn't tolerate the gays, and people who don't participate in your brand of belief. Hence, the tens of billions, throughout history who will suffer eternal torture for not subscribing to Jesus. See, Hitler's a lightweight compared to your "god." And that's all according to the words you profess. Pretty disgusting, if you ask me.

And what do you have to say to all of those suffering in Sandy Point, who have been flocking to their churches, synagogues, and religious leaders? Those same people you idiots claim kicked god your of their schools, yet reside in their faith for answers and consolation.

As long as they've accepted Jesus, they'll see their kids in heaven? As long as? I dare you to say that some of those kids are in hell.

The real tragedy is that those little kids are gone forever. Never given the chance to live a long life, then die naturally and be buried. No heaven, no hell. Just a bunch of selfish pricks like yourself who have nothing better to do than make this about you.

Do us all a favor and just stuff it.

It's hard for us (sinful human beings to accept that the ones that die are better off...But the life we have here on earth is just a breath, compared to our eternal life...It is sad to think that some people think when we die, that is it..how scary it must be to feel that way...

When we die, it's the end of our cycle on this planet. Just like every other organic being that has ever existed, and will come into existence in the future. I don't understand why people who can't come to grips with their own mortality find the need to project their toxic, unfounded beliefs on those who want nothing more than to live their lives in piece, free from superstitious, Bronze Age myths that bare the responsibility of inflicting so much pain and setback on humanity. Those of us who are free from those things have a far better appreciation for this life, knowing that the end can come at any moment, and investing the time and effort to enjoy every day, seizing every precious moment, without the burden of worrying and preparing for a death that will provide no prize or punishment, depending on our obedience and servitude to something for which there is no evidence of its existence. I refuse to worship a homicidal maniac that tests my morality, when that maniac, itself, is void of any of its own prescribed morals. No god. No gods. No heaven, and no hell. I was born free, and I will die free.

You are an idiot and there is nothing I or anyone else can say that will change the way you see things, so believe what you want.

However, I am happy that I am an atheist and that I don't get caught up in all the religious nonsense or supernatural bullsh*t.

That is my question as well. Where was He? Everyone says turn to God now, rely on Faith to get through this. Well then why did He even let this happen? Or any of the other shootings as well. You won't get a straight up answer to this question. All of the people who believe, just preach and dance around this question. How can God make this better? He shouldn't have let this happen.

God didn't make this happen......mankind did. It is call sin and it all started in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve ate from the apple tree. Humans are born sinners and that is why we rely on God's Grace.

Here's how it works. All the bad stuff is our fault. All the good stuff is God looking out for us. Please, those of you who believe that crap, just shut up and eat your words while people are still hurting from having 6 year-olds slaughtered.

Paul - Evidence. You have none. Talking snakes don't count. Women fabricated, or cloned from a rib don't work, either.

Oh, and there's zero contemporary (from the time of Jesus) evidence that Jesus even existed, either. I guess that's because he ascended into heaven on rocket powered boots. Just like Muhammad, each event taking place within miles of one another. How convenient.

This is the biggest crock of sh*t I have ever read. If I believed in God ( which I don't) I would consider him/she/it or whatever to be a sorry sadistic bastard for sitting up in the clouds watching this shooting take place... God's grace... bullsh*t. Thers is no God.

Listen.... It's nice to think there is a heaven. But there has never been any convincing evidence ever to think that such an afterlife exists.

Prove to "me"... without making any reference to the Bible that there is a Heaven or afterlife and I will change.

But, for the last 50 years people have tried and no one has given me even one reason to change and neither can you. And don't try and tell me that I haven't really tried... as I have listened to what they say and I always come back to my original answer... that's not peoof.

I also don't want to hear these stories of where people have died and gone to Heaven and then come back to tell their story. They can't prove their stories either and if Heaven is so great why did they come back???

Prove it and we'll talk. Oh and don't tell me to prove that there is not a Heaven... I can't prove something exist if it doesn't. Anyway the burden of proof is on you!!!

You say you are "happy." Every post I have read that you have written is spewing hatred and contempt for Christians. That's happy? Why so much anger if you're so happy?

You say that God should not have let this happen, but bad things happen to good people all the time. God does not cause that. Satan does. Satan, and mankind's sinful nature. God is there for us when bad things happen, to give us the grace to get through it.

You may not believe any of this, and that is your choice. I just don't understand the hostility you have toward people who have different beliefs.

Also, continuing to blame God, who you don't believe in, for this tragedy, seems very contradictory.
