Man Arrested for Burglary, DUI in Hardin

HARDIN, KY - A Calloway County man was arrested Monday on DUI and burglary charges after he was spotted in Hardin.
Marshall County Sheriff's Deputies saw a man standing behind a vehicle on Commerce Street in Hardin, and began a conversation with him. The man said the idling car was his, and that he had been driving it a few minutes before. Deputies began to suspect that the man was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and noticed that the vehicle had a temporary tag. They asked the man about it, and he said that the vehicle's seller had not yet given him the title.
The man was identified as 26-year-old Roger D. Henson of Kirksey, and investigation determined that he was a suspect in a recent burglary in that area. The victim had told a deputy that witnesses allegedly saw Henson enter her home and take several items to his vehicle. She also indicated that a padlock and another lock on the door were broken.
Henson was arrested and charged with burglary 2nd degree, operating a vehicle while under the influence, and failure to register the transfer of a vehicle.
