I have had it with Angels Attic. They are a bunch of crazy people that want to play mind games with donations. When my father died 4 years ago I took a lot of his things to Angels Attic. All were in good shape and in working condition. Once I got there with the stuff there were some things that they would not accept. Saying they couldn't sell them. Well I didn't seem to have trouble finding them a home and wished I had the rest of my stuff back. I said I would be done with them but they helped my daughter out so once again I decided to donate to them. I called ahead to make sure they would take all that I had to offer and was told yes. But to my surprise once I was there they wanted to go thru and take only what they wanted. It wasn't as if I was asking a price for my things I was in fact donating them and they were all in good shape and working. Well so long to you Angels Attic, Goodwill is a much better place to go. I also was in Angels Attic one day and they had a set of Star War tapes for sale with a hefty little price tag. Next to the price tag they had a picture of one that was sold on e-bay for twice the amount they were asking. Well then they should they should of put it on e-bay. But of course they wouldn't of done this because the one on e-bay never actually sold it was what someone wanted to sell it for. As for me I will never donate or shop at Angels Attic again.

Anyone who shops at a shop full of other peoples trash gets what they pay forů other peoples trash.

I don't see what the problem is? Goodwill is a national organization who can pay to ship surplus objects to other Goodwills in different states. This is, in fact, how our new Goodwill was initially stocked. Angels Attic does not have unlimited storage space nor do they have other stores to offload extra donations. Futhermore, I don't think you quite understand the spirit of donating. You're giving for free the things that someone else needs. Angels Attic isn't your garbage dump, happy to accept whatever refuse you happen to bring along.

You are just mad because the did not want your crap that probably was soaked in cat piss. You treat AA like a dump cause you are too cheap to haul it to the dump where it belonged in the first place. AA keeps the money going to a LOCAL clinic. Screw goodwill.

I've never had a problem donating stuff to Angel's Attic. As a former patient of the clinic, I'm grateful for the services that they provide.
Yeah, the staff at the attic can be a little unpleasant, and yeah, the prices can be high on a few items but without the funds provided to the clinic, I wouldn't have been able to pay for all the medicine I take.
So, even though the Attic has its haters, my family and I will continue to donate and purchase items there because I want to give back to my community and help those who are seen by the clinic.

I have donated lots of things to Angels Attic and have never had them deny taking anything. I have been done this for many years. Actually, the volunteers are always there at the back drop off door helping me. They always offer me a receipt and thank me. Very easy. I am very glad we have Angels Attic in our community.

It's not a department store...it's like a huge garage sale but it benefits others in our community. I have have lots of friends and family who shop there and don't have anything bad to say. I think if you really don't like it..go somewhere else and stop complaining. Good grief don't you have something better to do! ha
