I have posted on the Internet on several sites my article that I wrote concerning Victor's Sandwiches. I am truly sorry for the unfortunate conflict and its outcome but sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in especially if you may save another person from being sick.

I have lived here all my life and I have ate victors too many times to count. They are by far the best sandwich shop in Murray! I have never had a bad experience there or with takeout orders. No restaurant is perfect all the time, mistakes happen, bad service happens and sometimes food just isn't up to par. I have had bad experiences at places I love to eat, however I knew it was just that, a bad day for a great place. I have never let one bad experience at a place I love to eat keep me from returning. It is in bad taste for you to publicly bash a place over a very minor incident not to mention it must not have been that big of a deal if a few days later you were trying to order there again. If you were concerned enough to contact the health department you should take it upon yourself to never eat there again. And I read some of your other writings on your link and Yahoo, my opinion is you shouldn't quit your day job!

Thanks Kimberly for posting. I also read your article on the song "Rolling in the Deep". I couldn't leave a comment,so I will tell you here: That was a good article. Adele is truly one of a kind and a fantastic singer/songwriter. Your writing showed a depth that is rarely seen today. Like the song's narrator, I've been done wrong and had those same feelings but I have to be honest. I've also been the "bad guy". I never cheated on anyone but I was callous at times. The song reminds me of how much it hurts when someone plays with your emotions.

My name is lyla!!! and I know everyone at Victors and they are nice people and I know their families and they are nice people too!!! If you get sick from eating there its because you are a bad person and you deserve it! I know everything and I'm better than you because my family makes 25000 dollars a year! We are really well known around Murray and everyone likes us because our family is good people and we have more money than you!

What I can gather from her blog and other articles is that she has had a bad experience being a mystery shopper for a company, online dating, with a company she freelanced writing for, victors and subway. And there was some reference to her daughter not speaking to her or allowing her to see her grandchild. At some point you must ask if you yourself are the problem. That's just my opinion from reading her articles and blog. I am not related to anyone at victors, nor do I know anyone that works there. I never mentioned anything about money!

I totally agree with you. There are people that are going to complain about anything. And before you other people start bashing that are reading her blog, ask yourself if maybe she complained more than once about petty crap and thats why she got the response she did.

Frankly, it seems her main passion is writing, and needed something to write about. Then she self-promotes using topix? Yeah, as someone said, do not quit your day job.

And if I owned a restaurant and you called the health department, I would ban you also. Odd that after you report him you try to order again.

The absolute WORST thing that can happen from a touch of dish soap is a bad case of diahrea, perhaps you should have read on that before freaking out. And I seriously doubt you got "sick" off of two sips or so of tea. If it ws residual soap, in a 20 oz tea, no way you would get sick from that.

Shame on you for trying to ruin a 100% locally owned and operated business over tea.

Now go write an article about me bashing your whiny a$$, but don't call any magazine, you couldn't even get a letter to the editor published.

And I see anyone you disagree with you judge as clueless or nuts.

My aren't we obsessed over our little essay?

Get a grip, and maybe the local paper will let your write obituaries.

(Don't forget to click mean, clueless, nuts etc on my judge spots now)

<quoted text> I just read your article pertaining to this restaurant. I found it to be very interesting. I too, like to eat out and have once gone to this particular place. I didn't have a bad experience, but after reading your article, I am going to let others know about this. This is very informative information. I found it rather rude for him to take your call, after being a long-standing customer, and disregard the situation. Him not knowing what could be in that tea container, he should have cleaned it out thoroughly and apologized for the inconvenience and offered you another drink. If he didn't offer to have another tea delivered that day, then he could have at least offered a free tea on your next order, considering you were a return customer, along with the people that work in the same office as you. I don't blame you for doing what you did after he treated you the way he did by hanging up on you. I would have been upset as well, and I would want to know what was in that tea as well. Sometimes, we can eat something or drink something and get sick, but yet, it can also cause damage in the body that can be irreversible. Calling the proper people to report this is exactly what you should have done and I agree with you and stand behind your decision 100%. I know there has been one person in this thread that has tried to explain it away as a "bad day," but if a restaurant owner is going to run a business in this town, they should take calls, such as yours serious, and not just treat customers the way he did by hanging up on you. I don't know if you tried to order there again or if he called you and told you that you were banned, along with everyone else at your office or not. But, I would hope after that experience that you wouldn't have tried to order there again. You didn't make that clear in your article. Again, thank you for the information.
thanks for your comments I appeciate it.. the only reason why I did the article was because I felt let down by the establishment.. yes I did report it.. and yes I understand he has the right to ban anyone.. but I felt like it was an issue to have left over soap in the drink and when he didn't act concerned about the issue .. I did what I thought was best.. I am sorry some people may not have done the same but that is them..

and just in case anyone cares.. which I gather most wont.. I do think overall Victors is a good establishment.. but this time they handled the matter poorly..

let me further state.. Everyone deserves to stand up for what they believe in.. and just like those people that write on topix hateful posts.. I have the right to do articles

I know most restaurants have their off days but owners and managers should know a lot of what happens depends on how you handle issues as they arise..

thanks again. for your comments

I love victor's.
Also, working at a restaurant myself, I have one question. Why are women such c*nts when it comes to restaurants? I think it's pretty hilarious because we have a list of people who we owe because of complaints and 90% of them are women. They made one mistake... shut the f*ck up. It's not the end of the world.
