I've looked on-line, read numerous reviews, etc. and I'm having trouble finding a small apartment (or condo/townhouse, etc) Mostly what I find are large complexes, and I really just need a place for 6 months-1 yr while I look for a house. I'm a quiet professional who will be working quite a bit, and I don't want to come home to loud parties, etc. I would prefer not to have to spend more than $900 for a 2 bedroom if possible, as I am trying to save money for a house.

Also, many of the reviews I read on-line mention high utility costs. Is this because many of the apartments are older and not energy efficient or is this just Garland in general. I'm no stranger to Southern heat, but a $300 electric bill for a 900 sq foot apartment sounds a bit unreal.

Depends on how cool or warm you want to keep your place.
Most rent houses won't have new heat/air units replaced unless they are not running at all.
Check out a 2 bed room townhome, 4826 Windward passage.
Near Centerville = LBJ area, Meadowcreed, there are a
few rentals in that area.

wow, thanks. I've did some more researching since I posted this and now I'm leaning toward the Plano area. I found a few small complexes in that area; I will be driving down to check out in the next couple of weeks. I'll look into the areas you suggested also.

There are some around Beltline and Buckingham area too.
The Garland/Richardson area might be more reasonable than Plano

I am a tenant at the Lakeview apartments off of Bass Pro Dr. I love this location. Very quiet, rarely see any other residence and you have a choice of which utility company you want to use. There is a wonderful view of the lake right outside my front window and the apartment was the cheapest found for a six month lease. They are very spacious as well and pretty well kept. I hope this help :)

Is that a good thing ... to rarely see your neighbors ?

Daily Horoscope for December 1

Leo

Many of you will be in the public eye early on as the Moon lights up your tenth house of reputation. Be sure to be on your best behavior! It may be hard to focus on your work, but this is not the time to fall down on the job. Avoid office gossip and discipline yourself so that when bonuses are handed out, your diligence will be remembered. Things brighten up later in the day when the Moon enters Gemini. It's a fortunate phase!
