A sting in which police teamed up with "Dateline NBC" to catch online pedophiles was supposed to send a flinty-eyed, Texas-style warning about this Dallas suburb: Don't mess with Murphy.

Dear Sirs,

Clearly, this is a message to Dateline that you boys need to go after perverts that aren't wealthy or connected to the "good ol boy" network.
I say keep up your great work! Spend as much time in Texas as you can. Texas is as corrupt a place as you will find in the U.S. starting with our Governor Perry and his NAFTA SUPER HIGHWAY,and going on down to Mexican teenagers brought in as prostitutes.
Sense you received soooo much resistance from the wealthy suburbs though, you might want to concentrate on them for a while.
Good for you guys! I am a "Justice for all" type of guy. I think the high and mighty rich should toe the mark just the same as the rest of us.

NBC has saved the government a lot of money in terms of legal fees and the cost of housing this jerk in a prison.

No doubt NBC and "Perverted Justice" (did they even think about this name??), who for money and ratings lured and encouraged these men to act on their urges, were highly disappointed when the ADA ultimately found his conscience and did not take the bait. So then what? Why, go bang on his door, cop puppets in tow, to expose his shame anyway for the voyeurship.
I've no sympathy for the wannaChester ADA caught up in an accusatory machine not unlike the one he greased by profession, but celebrity-seeking cops who solicit crime for the sake of playing hero for the cameras are as perverted as the targets of their scheming.
To be sure, NBC's game does serve a purpose if it dissuades even one pedo from acting out for fear of exposure. That purpose evaporates when NBC and cop crew go after the ones who ultimately decline to play.

the town is more upset that most of the men arrested had traveled 200 miles to GET to Murphy. NBC was actually BRINGING pedophiles to the neighborhood, not pushing them out.
