Hanging Dog is a beautiful place to live. I know because I live there. There are a variety of homes and properties out here, so I can understand why someone might make negative comments. But, it's rather close minded to lump all of Hanging Dog into one stereotype.

ok really everyone i have lived in Hanging Dog for 20 years and i can tell u right now that everyone that has bad things to say bout Hanging Dog really needs to learn bout life and the world. And no there is no "coons" as some like to call them in Hanging Dog, and if u have something to say bout drugs in Hanging dog well look around cause drugs are all over this world now days. and if u think Hanging dog is just some backwoods place where plp hook up with their family u got some nasty minds cause that is so far from ture my fathers family is from all over as well as my mothers they meet after my mom moved here from Ga and for myself my boyfriend is from NY. Hanging Dog is a great quite southern place where everyone knows everyone and you can count on the person next door or ten miles up the road to help you out when you need it, you dont have the fear of some crazy person next door coming in your house and trying to kill you. I have traveled the states from the time i was very young TX NY FL GA AL ect i have seen them all and every place has its ups and downs so get over it thats the way of the world!!!!!!!

Hanging dog is just as beautiful as all of the surrounding forested mountainous towns and hamlets ... if you're lucky enough to live in the mountains, then you're lucky enough.

To me, this area is one of the most beautiful I've yet to come across in the USA and I've traveled all over this country (that's why we retired here), although not in Hanging Dog but in west Cherokee County.

The beauty takes one's breath away.

west cherokee county - we call that tennessee. wish you hadn't moved here because you say it's beautiful and then are intent on more crap places littering our roadways.
