I have my doubts this poster is legit, but only trying to get something started.
Speaking of sick jokes, here is an srticle of someone who thought it would be funny to call the police posing as a kidnapped child.

I absolutely cannot stand such irresponsible parents. I am a young mother, well not as young as we see them these days. But I at least know better than to leave my child in a car unattended. This just keeps happening over and over too. Its rediculous!! And what is up with the sicko,Janice Bell?? I seriously doubt those are true. People never stop amazing me.(sigh)

From the excerpt of a Ch4 report that Jason posted, it said the mother and father were divorced and the father claimed the mother was unfit to have custody of the child. Evidentally this was so true so late. What ticks me off is when the courts give custody to unfit parents just to have the child die or killed at that parents hands in some way. This was a prime example of that. We can only hope this Janice Bell is lying and this baby hasn't died.

I just read this article on dnj.com and realize that I know this family, I used to live beside them. Janice is the older sister. My prayers are with everyone involved. So sad...

Is there any way you can check to confirm this little baby died as Janice is claiming please?

Where were the parents? They need to be prosecuted. There is no reason to leave a child(children) in a car unattended. I thought it was going to be classified as a felony. If not, it needs to be. I had three children and three grandchildren, and they are never left in a car alone. I hope the baby is okay.

I'm sorry but if what this Janice Bell poster is claiming, this baby just died this afternoon. And from the Ch4 excerpt that Jason posted, it said something about the parents being divorced and the father begging the court not to give the mother custody of the baby because she was irresponsible and unfit. Evidentally and sadly, this was true.

Here is an update from Ch2 News that was updated at 5:06 p.m. Vandy is saying the baby is in critical condition. So it sounds like this Janice Bell is lying about the baby dying.

Murfreesboro police spokesperson Kyle Evans MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- A five-month-old infant was rushed to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after spending an hour in a hot parked car outside her Rutherford County home.

Murfreesboro police spokesman Kyle Evans said the mother had been running errands with her teenager daughter and the infant.

According to the police report, when they returned home, the mother thought the daughter brought the child inside the house.

An hour later, they both realized the baby was not inside napping.

That is when they found the child in the car.

Evans said the air temperature was 93 degrees at the time and the heat index was 101 degrees.

No charges have been filed.

The incident is still being investigated by police and the district attorney's office.

The baby was first transported to Middle Tennessee Medical Center and then taken by Life Flight helicopter to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

A hospital spokeswoman there said Thursday the baby is in critical condition.

This is just such a sad story. These kids that have to suffer this fate, o how they must of suffered. We have my great niece who is 5 months old living half the week with her dad here in our home. I watch and take caree of her the biggiest part of the time. I can't imagine me ever leaving her in the car. I know it is done way to oftened.

I take medicine and I forget things at time, but I pray to the good Lord that I never ever make a stupid mistake like this. I could not live with myself if I did something like this.

If this child was 5 months old, I can't imagine the mom not knowing where that child was at. I know for certain our little one couldn't be just gone for over an hour and we wouldn't notice.

How could any parent leave their child(ren) in a car. What did you forget the kid(s) were in the car with you? I mean my God people! I think people should have to take a test to make sure they are not stupid before they can have children. Because it takes someone really STUPID to forget a child ANYWHERE let alone in a sweltering hot vehicle. I hope whoever did this goes to prison for a long time. Or maybe they should be locked in a hot car with no way to get out on their own!!!!!!!

the sad irony of this is the person who did this to this child will be charged and serve time in an air conditioned cell.
The sad truth is that the people that kill children weather accidentally or intentionally don't ever serve the sentence they would if it was an adult victim and that is a shame. Children are helpless and the punishment should be harsher but the penalty for a child is usually a quarter of what it is for and adult murder/accidental death. That is just sad.

As I sit here holding my grandson in my arms I beg people, don't assume someone else is taking care of your child. This is your responsibilty as a mother. You should always double check to make sure you have not forgotten anything especially a child. My prayers are with this child and hope she recovers.
