I have a daughter who is a police officer in Virginia and know what it is like to worry about the dangers of her job. She is also on the Honor Guard and knows first hand the sorrow of seeing families facing these tragedys. May God bless the wife and son and families of Joshua Miktarian.

This is simply horrible, so horrible, I don't understand why people would condone such actions by assisting a criminal, whom by his actions, harmed our society.

They should make that killer dirtbag, view ALL the media coverage and tributaries to officer Miktarian.

He should know the pain he caused over and over again. For the rest of his life he will be hated and scorned.

May Josh's family know we care and share your sorrow. I hope with Justice, Peace will follow.

Find this guy not guilty. No jail time. Just let Twinsburg's finest give him a ride home. I am CONFIDENT that, in that case, Mr. Thompson would never do something like this again.

I would like to say that I was awed by the composure, courage and strength that Officer Holly Miktarian showed during this horrible tragedy. I can’t even begin to imagine the grief and anguish that your family is going through. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May you find even the smallest amount of comfort in knowing that you do not grieve alone the entire law enforcement community grieves with you.
My deepest sympathy,
Fellow K9 Officer

this crime makes me wish we could revive vigilante justice and just let the scumbag who did this out on the street in Twinsburg. He would no longer steal oxygen from the rest of us. This scumbag doesn't deserve to live.

If this were one of our boys from the Iraqi war, how long would the story go on and on and on and on.

One day.

But we lose a police officer and this story has to be in the newspaper for 2-3 days?

I expect to see the same for our boys that lost their lives in this area oh great Akron Beacon Journal!

I'm very sorry to hear about your mom. Maybe you shouldn't be on these threads so that you can go about grieving and healing your loss. Just don't read any of the articles in the paper and turn off the tv from any news. Hope this helps you...sjt

God Bless You Josh-I'm sure you're in a better place !!

I had to turn off the TV news yesterday as this was really upsetting for me.

Sadly, it makes me wonder why I ever thought of becoming a police officer.

Are you insane? Yes, lets just let a dirt bag loser cop-killer ride home with "Twinsburg's finest", and we'll just trust that he wont do it again. What kind of fantasy world are YOU living in? "Mr. Thompson" will never see the outside of a prison wall again.

That's right, d-bag. You are not obligated to read it. So your comment just makes you look like the bigger horse's arse that you are.

Since you're too goddamned stupid to know anything, this killing of the officer strike ALOT of people's nerves because how this officer was murdered.

This officer was shot FOUR TIMES AT CLOSE RANGE IN THE HEAD!!! What many people do not know is that 3 of the shots were fired at his head ONCE HE WAS LAYING ON THE GROUND!!! That's right, loser. This dirtbag n-word shot him in the head, then when he was laying on the ground, he shot him THREE MORE TIMES!!!!

Then, his scumbag attorney has the nutsack, after about 2 days, to say it was self-defense based on "facts" and according to a "witness". A "witness", whom at the time HAD YET TO TALK TO POLICE!!!

Notice how that idiot attorney has kept his stupid-a$$$$$$ed mouth shut since then?? Shut the hell up, Dan the doooshbag man.

I feel so very sorry for Josh's family. No one should have the authority to take someone else's life (especially a police officers). He was only trying to do his job. Sad thing is if he knew he was in danger and killed that SOB then he would have been fired or it would have been racially motivated or something. It amazes me that people can kill our cops, but when they shoot you their biased against you or something. Whatever happened to giving police the authority to keep us safe? And not guilty plea (are you f ing kidding me!) To the rest of the police out there, becareful.
