H.C. sports are in a terrible mess.Do you really think its all the parents fault? If you were a coach there did you see problems other than parents?

Lets look at some of the coaches, girls basketball, old outdated, stubborn and ego driven.Asst. coach is only there for certain reasons which is plain to see,6 girls parents are employees of HC system. No blacks till this year in 4 years till this year and her mother is an employee of the system.
Fastpitch Softball, asst.coach not even a teacher but they hired him and that is a joke.Only reason he is there is for his daughters.
Baseball coach has had kids on the team and that has really been bad situation.Even the superintendent had to call him down at a game.
They just let the volleyball coaches go because of very serious problems with some girls that went beyond and over the line with some kids.
Football LOL !!! Wont even go there.
Does some of the problems not lie with administration and not controlling the athletic dept.?
So some of the problems does lay with parents but is it not some of the systems problems also?Be very careful as where blame lies.

I could not agree with you more, but that will never happen here in this county...and it is sad.

I agree there are a lot of problems with the sports program in Hart County. However, the problems do not all lie within the coaching staff. Whoever is posting false statements about the coaches should get their facts straight because both the baseball and volleyball coaches resigned at their own will; they were not released by the administration. If you are going to get on here with the intentions to resolve problems, please do not post statements unless you know they are true. I am sure it is not an easy job being a coach or the parent of an athlete. Both jobs require much time and motivation to do the right things for the children. We should be supportive of those who are willing to help our children; again it is not an easy job!

Baseball coach resigned because his son graduated, they need to hire a coach in all sports that will not be pressured by the "click" but that will never happen if it did they would not be hired back!

There are several problems with Hart Co. athletics.Number one is that there is no leadership at the top. These kids need to be taught sports properly at an early age. Our youth sports are a joke! Our youth facilities are far behind every surrounding county and everyone in a position to do something about it doesn't care. Not one of our high school coaches has the proper background to be a head coach(I am not degrading the coaches I admire a couple of them for giving their time to these young students. I am just stating facts.) Glasgow High just hired Jeff Hall as their head coach. I know that doesn't mean they will win but I'll guarantee you that those kids will learn proper basketball techniques. That kind of hire will never happen at Hart Co. because we lack leadership at the top.

"Not one of our high school coaches has the proper background to be a head coach"
What exactly do you consider a "proper background?"

Someone who has played more than 4 years of high school ball under the less than distinguished former coaches at hart county would be a good start. wouldn't you agree?

Some of the coaches on the football coaching staff did play college football. The former baseball and new baseball coach both played college football as well. The boys basketball coach also played college basketball.

the boys basketball coach at hart county is top of the line...not only does he have proper background...all state high school and division 1 basketball...but he also has the genes...his dad was a winner at bowling green...give him time...he is slowly getting enough athletes to run the offense he intends to run...of course things wont be like they were when tick was there...but he was a good hire
