Where were the grandparents, while this was going on? Clearly, the child didn't "kill" the cat--but the terror and pain that poor animal must have experienced in its last moments and the terror and helpless anguish the children must have felt obviously had no impact whatsoever on this "father," who doesn't deserve to be called a human being, let alone a parent! The children should not have to remain with grandparents who are so incompetent as caretakers that they would allow such a thing to happen, and the father--who is depraved, not "sick"--should be prevented from seeing them, ever again. What have we become, that there are people walking among us who think it's acceptable to pick up a gun or a knife and vent their frustrations on the innocent and defenseless? Politicians worry about that "call at 3:00 AM"--a far more real and present danger is the result of the kind of bureaucratic negligence coupled with ACLU overkill that allows people like this to roam the streets.
